Serving Suggestions if Fed as a Full and Nutritious Diet
It is important for your bird's sense of well being and comfort to have food in his dish at all times. Place enough Avi-Cakes in the dish as you estimate your bird will eat without wasting too much. If the dish is emptied, refill as needed. Because birds love variety, we recommend feeding your bird fresh fruits and vegetables as 20% of his total daily diet.
Simply start by adding 2 or 3 Avi-Cakes to his food dish. Slowly increase the amount of Avi-Cakes at the same time you decrease the current diet. Sometimes tearing the Avi-Cakes into smaller pieces during this transition helps.

Always have a pack on hand

We always have avi cakes on hand. I serve a small amount with their daily mix and give extra as a treat. I like that I can ground it up, because otherwise my cockatiels make a mess with it. I prefer these over nutriberries for that reason, since nutriberries are tougher to come apart.

i have a really hard time getting my spoiled cockatiel to eat anything other than seeds, as that was all she ate before i got her, but she adjusted to these very quickly and loves them!!! i researched the brand before purchasing and i really like lafeber. when we run out of her avicakes, she doesn’t stop yelling until i get more (she doesn’t like the pellets i give her in place of them). my other cockatiel also really loves these, though he is a little less picky. :)

My cockatiel loves these classic cakes. I feed them to her regularly along with the berry flavored avi-cakes and nutriberries. I love Lafeber products. I have fed Lafeber as my past and present pet birds soul diet along with various fresh fruit and vegetables for over 20 years!
