    Cats wouldn't eat it

By Faith on Jul 21, 2021

I really hoped this would work because my cats love liquid treats. No luck- they wouldn't even taste it and it wouldn't stay on their paws long enough for them to lick it off (they would flick it off). I was surprised because the scent is like canned cat food and they love that. It could very well be an effective product, but since they won't taste it or let me put it on their paws, I'm back to square one.

    Calming for my alpha females

By kitcatillac on Aug 30, 2021

This seems to be working quite well for my two teeny alpha female cats. They are more chill and grumbling less as long as they get this every day. It's definitely worth a try if you have an anxious cat!

Just in the lick of time

By AnneeF on Apr 30, 2021

I ordered this on my sister's recommendation. When I opened up the packet I had my cat take a sniff and she started to lick the goopy stuff off my finger immediately. Woo hoo! I'm excited to find something I can offer her when she's going in for a vet visit or when we trim her nails. I highly recommend trying this if you have a cat who tends to be anxious at times. My sis also says to refrigerate packs cause they thicken up better.

    Stress Aid

By AudreyHepurrn on Mar 27, 2021

My sweet kitty Audrey gets stressed out when it's time to trim her claws. She won't eat this gravy in a dish, but I can smear it right on her paw so she licks it off. It kicks in pretty quickly and lasts just long enough to get her nails trimmed without a fuss. It makes the experience much more pleasant for both of us. We also used it when we traveled on a plane. She was pretty stressed out in the travel carrier and the zen licks kept her distracted by cleaning herself and calm.

    Left Untouched

By Disappointed on Mar 23, 2021

My cats won't even try it. No matter how envious. I'd stop insulting the product, but 50 characters are required. This stuff is a waste of money. I have 2 cats, neither went for it. Am I done yet? Guess not. Not what I meant to order either, not a pleasant surprise.

Excellent Supplement to Aid in Calming

By Connie on Jan 30, 2021

We have seen a difference in our cat’s anxious behavior since using the Licks Zen Calming Supplement. At first, I didn’t think she would like it. The first couple of days, she only tasted it, but now she is enjoying it.

    Hit or Miss

By London on Dec 16, 2020

We bought these for our male Maine Coon who gets very bad anxiety when it rains. Sadly he had no interest in the zen licks, even when we mixed it into his food, put it on a treat, etc. However, my female Torti loves these! We recently started providing them to her for her FLUTD to see if that will help with her stress at all. Seems like a hit or miss depending on your cat.

Kitties love the flavor but not sure if it works

By Brie on Jul 28, 2020

I rated 3 stars because my kitties love the flavor. If nothing else they love it as a treat. But I have not seen it change or improve their emotional state. It is very oily & runs out of the pouch quickly so be careful where you open it. I would recommend more highly if the price was lower. It is tough to tell people to buy these for anything other than a treat at this point though.

    A Jealous, Anxious Cat

By KateCMT on Jul 16, 2020

Last year, I lost three of my beloved pets within 6 months. My cat Mongo was very attached to my two cats and dog who have passed. Then serendipitously, a new little kitty came into our lives. I was very cautious in introducing Harmony to Mongo and his sister Molly. No matter what I did, Mongo was not going to have an intruder in our household. As of now, I still have to do kitty shifts to keep them separate constantly. I have tried everything! A kitty anti-anxiety med, CBD, reiki, lots of love and assurance, a squirt bottle when he acts out, you name it. Mongo is not having it. So...although not perfect, I find that putting this gel on his leg preoccupies him enough while licking it Last year, I lost three of my beloved pets within 6 months. So...although not perfect, I find that putting this gel on his leg preoccupies him enough while licking it off, and eventually it relaxes him and he will sleep a bit longer and he isn't so OCD. I would love to have a 5 Star solution, but so far, this is the best thing I can find. By the way, definitely keep these packets in the fridge. The consistency is easier to apply on Mongo's leg and I would not suggest putting this in the cat's food. Cats are too picky to eat it but they will surely lick it off of themselves. … more
