What are the actual dimensions of these tanks? The dimensions given seem to indicate a bigger tank than stated
Answer by Chewy • Aug 27, 2021
The 6-gallon tank measures 29.92 inches long x 5.90 inches wide x 7.87 inches high, the 11-gallon tank measures 31.89 inches long x 7.87 inches wide x 9.84 inches high, the 16-gallon tank measures 33.85 inches long x 9.84 inches wide x 11 inches high, and the 22-gallon tank measures 35.82 inches long x 11.81 inches wide x 11.81 inches high.

Does this tank come with a clear lid?
Answer by Chewy • Feb 02, 2022
This tank does not include a clear lid. We do carry the "Lifegard Full View Aquarium Kit" which includes a lid.

I’m considering buying one of these, where could I find a lid for it? My cat will definitely eat the fishes if I don’t have one haha
Answer by Chewy • Feb 04, 2022
At this time, the manufacturer does not offer lids for their bookshelf aquariums. Some pet parents have purchased clear plastic clips to put on the edges of the aquarium, and provided their tank's inner width and length to their local glass shop. If you are looking for an aquarium that already comes with a lid, then we recommend the Lifegard Aquatics "full view" aquarium line. Those aquariums do already come with a lid.

What is the glass thickness?
Answer by Chewy • Mar 31, 2022
The Lifegard Crystal Bookshelf Aquarium features the following glass thickness: 22 Gallon: 8 millimeters glass thickness 16 Gallon: 6 millimeters glass thickness 11 Gallon: 5 millimeters glass thickness 6 Gallon: 5 millimeters glass thickness

Not 11 gallons

Would have been very nice, well-made however after setting it up completely with 1 inch of gravel and decorations, it only took 7 gallons of water, Not enough for my fish.

Immaculate!

I've been shopping with Chewy for 7 years but this is simply unbelievable...they really do listen to our product recommendations! Lifegard and Seaview are very high quality rimless tanks that may seem expensive but are definitely worth it. The bookshelf series - also known as "low boy" - provide a large surface area for proper gas exchange making them suitable for heavily-planted tanks or fish that require a higher amount of dissolved oxygen in the water like Goldfish (although I suggest keeping small breeds in tank sizes such as this - they are very messy and will overload your tanks quickly and easily without the proper maintenance). Overall, this brand is high quality and you won't regret it! Note: I have not purchased these from Chewy (yet) but have experience with these tanks from other sites. Keep them on a stable shelf, table, rack or stand with a foam mat underneath and egg crate light defuser for hardscape or heavy materials to level out the weight and prevent leaks. These materials are cheap and easy to find at your local home improvement store. They're lifesavers for your fish and floor ;)
