  • This is exactly what I needed.

    By on

I'm someone with chronic illness that affects me daily, so cutting out a task that requires finding an empty grocery bag with no holes in it, scooping litter and then taking that litter bag downstairs is actually really helpful for conserving energy. Now, even on especially bad days, my cat's litter still gets scooped. Not only that, when my cat leaves a particularly offensive deposit in the litter box, all I gotta do is scoop it up into the Litter Champ and it's GONE. This thing has helped SO MUCH. I read a review that suggested using zip ties instead of manually tying the bag which is definitely effective and I don't think I'll ever NOT use zip ties. There can be a bit of litter left behind on the top flap, but I found that if you angle the scooper with one of the corners toward the bag instead of the whole flat edge, that doesn't really happen so much. For one small cat, I can go at least a week before changing the bag and still smell nothing. There's no actual hassle involved and trust me, I'd for sure be the first to complain about excess hassle. … more

  • Better than nothing, but absorbs odor

    By on Top 10 Contributor

I've had two of these for a couple months now, and am on the fence. I use pine litter and doggie bags to pick up solid waste, which is the only thing that goes in the Litter Champs. The used litter goes through a sifter when the "good" litter starts getting low and is disposed of in a pan liner. These are convenient and hold in the smell (while closed) until they're almost full, but dear GOD do they stink. The plastic has absorbed all the stench and I have to take them outside to empty them. The rubber gasket around the inner lid on both also likes to fall down, preventing the lid from closing tight and letting out the odor. • Bought this because I have 4 indoor cats

    By on

I needed a better solution than the bucket and bag I had been using so I shopped all these types and opted for this one. The scoop is plastic so I donated it to someone who needed a scooper even though this one is pretty good quality I use a metal one because it sees a LOT of use. After the first month I had used up the included bag and most of one replacement which was really a surprise. This is more economical that my old method once I got it set up and I don't have a problem with odor either.

  • Better than Litter Genie

    By on

Yes as some reviewers have stated, you have to push the flap down for the poop to go in however the scooper I have works fine for pushing it down and dispensing poop in. Bag are biodegradable and cheaper than litter genie ones and more feet. Giving 4 star cause the spouse isnt careful about scooping and sometimes gets litter in the top where the hinge is and cant close and u have to try to get out but I've never had issues with it. I'll be getting another for upstairs

  • So fresh, so clean

    By on

I’m very glad I purchased this. It is so convenient. One thing I wish was different about it is that the opening be a little wider to keep from getting litter all over the top. Any way, I recommend it. It sure beats using and disposing of it in Kroger bags. Cutting back on plastic is a win for me and so far it’s done it’s job keeping the odor in.

  • This disposal system is way above the others!!

    By on

I have 2 adult cats. Was so tired of smelling used litter all the time because of another disposal system I was using. Happened across a video on YouTube praising Litter Champ & immediately ordered one. Best move I could've made!! My house smells fresh again & I don"t have to use the allergy provoking air fresheners. Highly recommend this system!! More affordable than the other one, too!!

  • Scooping sucks, but doesn't have to stink. (Way better than a Litter Genie)

    By on

I have three cats in my household, and two litter boxes. To maintain a clean, odor-free home with happy cats and people, we scoop both litter boxes twice a day. This will always be a chore, but the Litter Champ makes it a little less so. I decided to order the Litter Champ a few weeks after buying a Litter Genie. For the first time, the Genie offered the convenience of keeping a receptacle nearby so that I didn't have to dig out a plastic baggie and haul it around the house full of waste each time I needed to scoop the box. A seemingly small convenience, but it made a big difference in getting all members of the family onboard with regular box cleanings. A seemingly small convenience, but it made a big difference in getting all members of the family onboard with regular box cleanings. After ordering the Champ, there's no going back. (In fairness, I do still have by Genie next to one of the boxes, but it's got nothing on the Champ). The Litter Champ wins on so many counts: 1.) Price- The biggest investment for any of these products is the refills. The list price for a 3 pack of Litter Genie refills is about $26. For the Litter Champ, it's $22 MAX. (Frequently on sale for as low as $8!). Granted, the Litter Genie is SLIGHTLY easier to refill with new bags, but you don't have to refill the Champ nearly as often- the refills for the Champ are 21 feet, versus a mere 14 for the Genie. That's 1/3 larger! Furthermore, the Champ itself has a larger capacity, so it doesn't need to be emptied as often, making the bags last longer (each time you empty either of these, you have to tie off and waste refill length.) 2.) Capacity- As stated above, the Champ holds more, needing to be emptied less often. And the refills are larger. To give a sense of how long these go, I have owned my Champ for over two months, and still haven't needed to refill it with a new cartridge!! 3.) Quality- The Champ feels very well made. It has a clean design that feels sturdy. The Litter Genie, on the other hand, feels cheap. The front clasp that holds the Genie closed is flimsy and ineffective. This is a complaint I have read from many other users. This flaw also impacts #4.... 4.) Portability- The Litter Genie is so poorly constructed, it would not stay closed if you were to lift or move it. The Litter Champ not only holds firmly closed, it has a handle that is smartly built into the design so that you can lift it and move it from room to room if you have multiple boxes to clean. Cleaning the litter box will always suck, but it doesn't have to stink. … more

  • Absolutely wonderful!

    By on

I have two adult cats and the Litter Champ is the best way to deal with used litter that I have found. I put the used bag out with the weekly garbage once a week. I cannot say enough positive things about it. I have never had an accident with a bag and they get quite heavy in a week. Very good product!

  • Letter Champ recommended

    By on

I now have 3 of these to go with my 3 litterboxes. I find litterbox cleaning much easier with these. The latest one now has a handle built it making it much easier to move. The first time using and replacing the bag takes a moment to figure out but it is easy after that.

  • Totally Awesome!!!

    By on

Wow - has litter disposal come a long way! I Love this thing! If you deal with litter, give yourself a break and try this baby. I think you'll love it too! I have a large cat and I only have to change the bag once a week, and no odor! Well, with the lid closed of course. So Awesome!!! I looked around a lot before buying this model. I have seen another brand or two but none of them looked as convenient to use as this one. I can't say enough! Try It!
