Are the poop bags biodegradable?

The manufacturer has stated the following about this product – “The Litter Genie bags are not biodegradable. The advantage of Litter Genie bags is to seal the odor, a characteristic that is not yet available with biodegradable bags. The manufacturer is aware of this situation and are working to find a solution. However, the Litter Genie refill cartridge is recyclable. Each state has different rules for what they take as curbside pickup, so please check your local regulations”

Wonderful idea!

I love this because I only empty once a week! The bags are big and at the bottom you just tear off. You only tie the top. I think the square ones are different. This to me is easier because as you tear on dotted line you just pull the next one up!! I only have one cat so after a week there’s still room but not for two weeks. I think it would be too heavy! I’m so glad I purchased this!!

Makes cleaning the litter box easier

I have had an automatic litter system for years, but when my senior cat had trouble climbing into it, we caved and had to use a litter tray. Disposing of the waste was a pain as we had to use plastic grocery bags. After some research we decided to try the easy roll litter genie and it is terrific. We have two cats and quite frankly replace the bag every two days but it works!

Excellent

These bags are deep, all the way to bottom of Litter Genie and a little more, same as I would tie knot in past using a continuous bag without a bottom. These are thicker and hold the weight of cat soiled litter.

Great Product

I was a little surprised how well it works. While it doesn't hold (and wouldn't do it) a months worth of cat doo-doo it does work smoothly.

Love but too small

I love the Genie disposal system. The upgraded version is very nice but the bags are very small. With 3 cats I have to change the bag every other day.
