    Beating the stink

By SDGR on Nov 29, 2020

I have one very fussy cat, so I wanted something that would enclose scoops. It is easy to use. The small hole at the top to drop scoops into means that you dribble litter everywhere. I am not a fan of things that require the constant purchase of branded supplies--like its bag dispensers. But I have I have one very fussy cat, so I wanted something that would enclose scoops. I am not a fan of things that require the constant purchase of branded supplies--like its bag dispensers. But I have to admit that the bags do a very good job of sealing cat stink. Not really for multiple cats

By SherryCT on Nov 11, 2020

I got this free if I bought some litter. I have 3 large, healthy Ragdoll cats and they have a fountain and pee a lot (in a healthy way). I would have to dump my old bucket about once every 5-6 days. The litter genie is ingenious, but a little complicated compared to my old ‘system’. The opening is quite small, so if you have a big pee chunk to put in it might not fit. I have to ‘release’ the unit so the waste drops down on average 3-4 times per scoop session. I scoop once or twice a day. Also I dump this about once every 3 days. Dumping the bags is more complicated than my old system and there are spills so I use rubber gloves as you need to ‘wrestle’ the thing more. All in all ok if you have 1 cat and limited space, but for me with 3 Ragdolls it isn't as easy a process compared to what I was doing before. … more
