Description

Go low maintenance with your cat litter with Litter Pearls Micro Crystal Cat Litter. Made with sand-like silica gel crystals, which are a naturally occurring mineral made of water, sand, and oxygen, it offers superior moisture and odor-trapping qualities. In fact, it absorbs urine instantly and leaves litter dry to the touch—which in turn provides maximum odor control. And since the moisture then evaporates, the crystals can be reused for two months, making this an earth-friendly options as well. Totally non-toxic and safe for cats, it’s soft on the paws with very low dust.

Key Benefits
  • Silica gel cat litter offers maximum odor control and leaves litter dry to the touch.
  • Safe, non-toxic formula is 99% dust-free and contains no crystalline silica.
  • Sand-like crystals can reabsorb liquid over and over again, offering 70% less landfill waste than clay.
  • Fragrance-free litter is easy to maintain and super-soft on your cat’s paws.
  • One bag is enough for one cat for two months.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Transition Instructions

As with any new cat litter it is very important to introduce it gradually. Cats are not excited about litter changes so whenever introducing any new cat litter it is recommended that you incorporate some portion of the old litter to encourage cat’s trial. It may even be best to incorporate some clumps of waste or used litter from the currently used box during the first couple days. A 50% new on bottom / 50% old on top mix best for the first month gradually stirring the litters to mix and let the cat get used to the texture and sounds of the new litter. By the time you get to the start of month 2 the silica gel litter should be the only litter in the box with complete cat acceptance. You may also find it helpful to place the cat in the box after changing to pearls and comfort them into trying the texture and sound. Pearls may have more sound as they shift as the cat walks.

    Best litter ever

    By on

I bought this litter because I was tired of the old fashioned clumping litter. I have two cats and this litter works wonderfully. My only problem is one of the cats gets a bit crazy when covering up and gets quite a bit out of the box. To solve this problem, I am going to take an old tote box and cut out an entry for them. Both my boys are rather big, so I think this might do the trick. Thank you Chewy for saving my sanity.

    So far, so good

    By on

So far the litter does what it says. It is so much better than stuff I got off a clearance shelf that the cats tracked everywhere. My only critique, which is a big one when you have an asthmatic cat, is the dust cloud you get when pouring the litter. Luckily, he has no issue with it yet.

    So far so good!

I am used to crystal cat litter and prefer it over anything else...however we had adopted a male kitten in November who wasn't crazy about the crystal litter we were using (large chunk style) however the girls didn't mind it. So I went to clay and hated it so much!!! So I found that you can get crystal litter that is very fine like sand. and I decided to try Litter Pearls. I had to put some clumping litter on top to get everyone back on board, but they all went for it. So far it has lived up to my hopes! YES! I will be ordering again.

Silicone gel litter / granule type (not the pearls)

    By on

I have 6 cats and have switched half of my litter boxes with silicone gel litter. (4 with silicone and 4 with regular scoopable litter) PROS: 1) It has cut down on the maintenance of the litter boxes considerably. 2) The litter does not get stuck to the bottom of the litter box, 3) not as smelly (needs to be stirred daily instead of scooped) After stirring, the urine seems to get absorbed and the smell is neutralized and the solids are dried up. 4) overall my house smells much better. 5) Litter lasts about 3 weeks CONS: 1) Not all cats like silicone litter 2) More expensive

    Love this product

I have four cats using two litter boxes. This product is great. No longer smells. It doesn't last 30 days however but again I have four cats using both boxes. I got two weeks from one bag. Not bad.

    New and interesting.

Gave this litter a try. No complaints. Keeps in odor. Just sounds odd when my kitty steps in it. Took him a minute to get used to.

Does Not Eliminate Oder And Very Dusty

    By on

In my opinion this does NOT eliminate the urine order and the feces needs to be scooped immediately due to the odor. When I go to scoop, the dust and urine smell is so bad I have to hold my breath. The dust gets in my nasal passages like no other litter I've ever used. It tracks everywhere also. This is even after I have freshly changed the litter. It does not last long. The cats like the texture and use it but I won't be using it any more! If you like your house to smell like urine. This is the litter for you!
