Why have I waited so long.

By Jenslife on Jan 2, 2020

I have 5 cats, 4 dogs. My dogs are rescued Cattle Dogs, so, no smell there, but the rescued cats. PPPPP YEWWWW. I cannot stand stink. But I love my animals, however I am tired of being their 24 hour maid. So, I finally broke and got this. First TWO WEEKS. I set the disgusting old box next to it, and I have 5 cats, 4 dogs. My dogs are rescued Cattle Dogs, so, no smell there, but the rescued cats. PPPPP YEWWWW. I cannot stand stink. But I love my animals, however I am tired of being their 24 hour maid. So, I finally broke and got this. First TWO WEEKS. I set the disgusting old box next to it, and filled it with half old and half new litter. This LM box, the new "Green bag" litter, NO don't use that, its awful and gums up. Use the Tidy cat. But, 2 weeks allowed my stubborn "I'm not givin up nuttin" cat, Poohbie, a chance. She LOVES the LM. She likes anything motorized, and she enjoys watching it work. All 5 cats now use the box, as we had an issue with "territories" and *someone* would go beside the old box. Which we have all vinyl floors, but still. I cannot stand dirt, stink, mess, body fluids, etc. This LM works perfectly. Sure, at first it "didn't work", because I sat down and figured out what was too deep. I also sat there and figured out how it worked and what made it not work. I also keep it clean, where the carriage runs. Listen, if this thing prevents me from dealing with the piles, IM GOING TO TAKE CARE OF IT!!!!! Certainly. I am also going to modify it further, as now all 5 cats can stay inside 24/7 and the 2 "territorial" pee-ers" go in the box, the tiny container waster holder, has to be removed daily. I now have a bag in there, but still. So I am moding it further. With a waste box below. This LM lb is also going into a cabinet, so I will update this, as I get that done next week! But, if you've ever considered, don't, just get it. Get the Tidy Cats 4 in 1, and pay attention to the directions, don't overfill it. Then, set back and enjoy a NO STINK house! … more

Its will get the job slightly done

Purchased this hoping it would ease up on having to clean my cat's litter box every day. It did help a little. But unfortunately, you still need to at least look at it or loosen up the wet clumps once a day. The rake doesn't seem to go all the way to the bottom of the bin. Requiring you to loosen up Purchased this hoping it would ease up on having to clean my cat's litter box every day. It did help a little. But unfortunately, you still need to at least look at it or loosen up the wet clumps once a day. The rake doesn't seem to go all the way to the bottom of the bin. Requiring you to loosen up the clumps and pile them up so it can take it up or remove them yourself. Like others have said, the litter does fall between the container and the side of the litter box creating a mess that you won't really notice till you go to clean. Then you end up seeing where half of the litter has gone. It does help with limiting the time of myself having to clean up his litter box. Just you shouldn't wait the full week as it suggest or you'll have an even bigger mess to clean up. I do recommend for the price, I had bought it on sale for $20-$30. But it is most definitely not completely a self cleaning litter box, as you will need to check on it daily. And the rake does not go to the bottom of the litter box. It is in a home of one cat. … more
