It's a big feeder. Perfect for my 10 chickens. My problem is that it is incredibly difficult to put together. I can't get all the pieces to snap into place because they won't line up.
The feeder works great the only problem i had was the legs were a little pain snapping them in no problem once in. The legs seam a little brittle.
I have tried almost every feeder available and this one is THE BEST! Sits off the floor so gets less trash in it, and there is no scratching out and wasting of the feed.
Yes, it’s a blue plastic 8.5 lb capacity feeder but that is where the resemblance to the picture stops. The one I received is solid blue. I picked this one so you could see from afar about how much feed was left through the opaque but white plastic. Not the case with the solid blue. The top is conical and has a very small hole to hang the feeder from unlike the picture which has a handle-like top. The legs are substantial and tall which was unexpected but turn out to be a plus since I can’t hang it as I had planned with the different style of top. It’ll work but if you’re picky about the look, don’t buy this one - you’ll get something very different than what is pictured
I was worried that my duck's bills wouldn't fit into the little circle feeders, but it works fine and helps keep the food in the container instead of splattering all over the coop.
Item is as described, arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I like that it holds a great deal of food and chickens are not wasting food anymore with this feeder. My only complaint is that it does not dispense food very well. Inside cone could be more steep to facilitate better flow of pellets as food is eaten. I have to shake it every few days to get the food to flow out better.
Best I found, I have 10 small size and 6 25-pound feeders. Cuts down on feed waste, so it pays for itself. I own around 2000 chickens and have tried all kinds of feeders. I will be buying more soon.
Feeder has to be put together. Very Sturdy. Has a lid to keep animals out ( lid is loose) and can be hung. Also has legs to keep it off the ground. I think it's alot better than the others I have tried. I have 3 so far. Not sure how it could get broken while putting it together as mentioned in another review.
Works well with the poultry, stands high enough that very little feed scratched out to be wasted
I have Polish chickens and they had trouble. Also my feed is a mix of crumble and pellets and it would not flow. I would have to go out several times a day and shake it or use my fingers to get the feed to fall. This was a big problem for me. I will be returning.
