My 2 golden retrievers are moderate chewers, and this horn was terrible, it splinters terrible. Within 10 minutes they had pieces all over. I took it away as soon as I noticed this. My younger golden was up last night throwing up pieces of it.
I rarely write negative product reviews for pet treats & chews since they’re often incredibly subjective. However, I have to share my brief experience with this horn. First, it looked NOTHING like the photo when I received it. Second, after 10 minutes of my 6-month-old pup chewing on this, the outside of the horn began to splinter, and these splinters are VERY sharp and hard. So dangerous. I will not buy this ever again, and you should use caution when considering this for your pups.
My Poochon loves these. Keeps him busy and good for his teeth!!!
I wanted to try this product because I’ve never seen cattle horn chews. Dog seems to like it, it’s a bit softer than Buffalo horns and works like a great alternative.
