  • Lonely Neighbor Just Got Two Cockatiels . . .

    By on

Know small birds LOVE cuttlebones and they are easy to attach to the cage (the gift recipient is an old man). Try to "buy local," but my local pet supply store was embarrassing overpriced and everything was stale (I fear for the health of any animal that eats their food). THANK YOU for your quick response time!

  • She Loves It

I ordered this for my sister's bird. She tore up the first one pretty quickly. The only issue I have is that it came in broken. The pieces are already pretty small and that only made them harder to put in the metal clasp.

  • It’s a cuttlebone

    By on

Our birds like getting their calcium from cuttlebones. Do not think for a moment that the puny metal band that comes with these will hold up against Tiels chewing on it. Save yourself some trouble and buy the holder that Chewy also sells.

  • My parakeets looooove these

    By on

My parakeets love these so much that they become obsessed, they are it it all day! Sometimes after they finish it I wait a few days to refill the holder so they pay attention to other treats.

  • Nice large cuttles, great thickness

I have yet to find cuttle bones better than these. They are not only large in size but are not thin and brittle. They are superior in texture...a definite bargain when comparing price AND quality

  • Not worth it

    By on

Doesn’t fit cage bars properly, clip isn’t secured in product and falls out. Clip can’t be reattached to product because it’s so powdery.

  • Great quality, great price!

    By on

I actually ordered these for my red eared slider turtle for a calcium treat! These are around the same price as in store, but they are actually larger, so you get more for the same price! They arrived intact (but we break them up anyways). Good shape, no discoloring. If feeding to your turtle, don't forget to scrape off the plastic backing! My turtle loved these, and devoured her piece (1/3rd of whole) in less than 10 minutes! Highly recommend!

  • Bird treat

Bird loves it but the metal part that is supposed to hold to cage fell off right away. Had to tie it in cage with twine.

  • Best I've found

    By on

I've bought cuttlefish "bones" here and there...even from China. These are by far the best ones. The last ones I had are the ones from China and they came in a small, plastic zip lock bag and probably self sourced. At most the largest was maybe 3 1/2 inches in size and all were a grayish color. My budgies {parakeets}, Sky and Snow, wouldn't even touch them. However, when I put these cuttlefish "bones" in the cage Sky and Snow jumped on them like white on rice and even squabbled over it so I put the other one in as well and peace once again reign supreme in their happy home. I watched as they rubbed their beaks on them and nipped a little here and there. I was relieved as I know they need this I've bought cuttlefish "bones" here and there...even from China. So Living World and Chewy have my utmost thanks for providing a top quality commodity at a fairly reasonable price. Sky and Snow thank you too. … more
