LOVE THIS!
By Momof2pigs on Dec 9, 2020
I literally love this bedding!! I actually mix it in with our favorite Carefresh bedding for the perfect mixture, it keeps it more fluffy instead of the Carefresh getting all packed down. It's super absorbent and darkens in color when wet to make spot cleaning super easy. I love the smell too! The piggies love the softness and popcorn everytime I put in a new batch. Every once in awhile I will find a big chunk of wood but I just toss it out.

Very Good Bedding for a Bunny
By BunnyBedding on Jan 2, 2021
I bought this item to test it out and I have to say that I am glad that I did. I use it to pad my bunny’s litter box. It helps to mask odours. It is not a bag of dust but real shavings chips. This makes cleanup a breeze. I liked it so much that I bought another. I recommend this product

people have misconceptions about pine
By Aftin on Aug 9, 2020
Kiln-Dried Pine is just about the best option for use with rats. The kiln-drying process removes the harmful phenols in the wood, making it completely safe. Nearly all pine shavings sold for use with animals is kiln-dried. It's very inexpensive and readily available. This is also a light weight bedding, which allows rats to practice natural behaviors such as digging, burrowing and nesting. It is also effective at neutralizing ammonia. When wet, the thin shavings dry quickly, keeping your rats dryer. Solid waste tends to fall below the top level of the bedding, so that rats are in less direct contact with their waste. The only issue I've noticed with this bedding is some brands can be a bit dusty Kiln-Dried Pine is just about the best option for use with rats. Shavings that stay put.
By Starla on Aug 19, 2020
I have recently started purchasing these shavings for a chinchilla habitat. For whatever reason the chinchilla does not push these out of her crate. Previously, I purchased Aspen shavings, I think as many shavings were pushed outside the crate as were in the crate. I am sticking with the Pine Shavings as the chin seems to like them, and my clean up is much less.

sharp pieces of wood
By rough on May 23, 2020
There was a lot of pieces of wood, I was putting the bedding on the cage and I kept getting poked by the wood pieces. I’m probably going to change the bedding once I ran out of it. It’s also not as soft as I would’ve hoped, without the pieces of wood it would be way better but for now it’s not the worst.

Smaller than expected....
By Desertsoxfan on Mar 25, 2020
I usually purchase 4cf size pine shavings for roughly the same amount of $$, I was aware this was 4.0lt but was surprised at the size difference. Also it is more abrasive than what we normally put in our rabbit's enclosure, he has pushed it along the sides and is not "nesting" in it as he usually does. Next time I will pay closer attention to size and texture. TY

my chinchillas love it!
By Mishwe on Mar 7, 2020
My four chinnies are big fans of this - they’re usually pretty sensitive to smells and all four took right to it. Great for keeping odors minimal and it’s fluffy so it’s easy on their little hands and feet!

Not good for sensitive rats.
By Bird on Jan 27, 2020
I have one rat that is highly sensitive to smells, within two days of mixing this product with his paper bedding he got congested. My other rats, who aren't nearly as sensitive, are fine. I'd recommend being cautious using with rats.

Bags are much smaller than expected
By Rachel on Jan 2, 2020
The quality of this bedding is great. I've purchased some wood beddings and I was afraid my chins would get splinters because of how rough they were. This is really nice and fluffy. I just wish the bags were larger.
