what are the dimensions?

The dimensions for the Living World Small Animal Carrier is 9 inches in length by 6.8 inches wide by 6.1 inches high.
I notice that this carrier opens at the sides. Does the very top open, too.

Very small, short trip carrier

Very small animal carrier. I used for dwarf hamster, so mice would be okay too. Would be okay for a Syrian hamster or rat, but only for very short trip, like to the vet. I would avoid putting multiple animals in carrier, very tight space. Very secure, escape unlikely, just be sure latch in popped in place. Add bedding and a little food to reduce stress.

Much smaller than expected

This carrier can barely fit 3 standard size adult female rats. The way the carrier opens and closes is a hazard as it's very easy to close the lid on a tail or a toe. I only recommend this carrier for Fancy mice, Dwarf hamsters, and Dwarf rats.

We have a hamster

We have a hamster and its a great size but honestly cant see something larger than that fitting in here

Smaller than I realized but does the job

It's big enough to hold one adult rat male at a time safely for transport. It's on me for not realizing I'd ordered a larger one before. But the shipping was super fast and it arrived without damage. It will definitely get the job done.

A bit smaller than I needed

It's ok as a product. Not very sturdy. Needs to be bigger and clips more secure.

Rabbit carrier

Its smaller then I thought it would be.. maybe good for a mouse or hamster but not for a small rabbit... very disappointed when I got it.. I would recommend the product but just smaller then I anticipated

Nice but a bit small

Bought this to transport 3 rats and it's way too small for all of them, but it will do well for one or two of them. We use it during free roam as a hide. Wish the plastic door was a bit more sturdy but overall a decent buy

Too small hard to put together. I actually hurt my fingers trying to put the kennel together.

Bird Carrier

This carrier is perfect for transporting my canary. Easy to rinse out for the next use. I also use it to keep her safe during cage cleaning.
