  • Perfect For My Robo Hamster

    By on

I purchased this travel carrier for my little robo hamster and it is perfect, I bought the small one first, (the purple one) and it is too small. I wouldn't recommend buying that one not even for a robo hamster, so I ended up buying the large one and this one will work well, there is enough room to add a small hide out and even her water bottle. I don't like when my little girl get stress out and she was quite happy and really having fun in this cage. I only use this type of cages when I'm cleaning her 55 gal tank or if she has to go to the vet for one reason. I recommend this carrier cage (the large one) to anyone that has a robo hamster.

  • Great for vet trips

This carrier worked wonderful to take our baby guinea pig to the vet. We put a small towel in the bottom and she made herself right at home. It was easy to put together and the lid was secure during the trip. Plenty of ventilation.

  • Size Issue

    By on

I ordered this to bring my 4 rats home. It ended up being too small. I’d only put 2 rats in it. Otherwise it’s great. It was a little difficult to put together but stays together perfectly.

  • Get the duct tape ready.

    By on

I love Chewy, so I hate to give a bad review, but this thing straight-up sucks. For starters, the top flap is hard to latch. Secondly, the hinges--if you can call them that--on the flap broke nearly immediately. They are made of plastic, so the only possible replacement was hinges made with duct tape. I think this cost me like $15. So not worth it.

  • Reasonable for use

    By on

I took my small parrot, Indian rickneck and sun conure to the vet's in these. Small enough to keep birds from thrashing around and reasonable priced prior comments of them being flimsy did not matter as I always handle birds carefully. You would not ship birds in it. The only issue I had was how hard it was to.open and close.

  • Perfect for hedgehog

    By on

This is great for my hedgehog. It's the perfect for size for him, plenty of room. I used it to bring him home and I'll be using it for trips to the vet. Some reviews said it's cheap but I think the quality is fine for the price. It was 15 bucks what do they expect? Its sturdy enough and the handles work just fine. For as much as I'm going to use it, I'm sure it'll last a long time.

  • Smaller than expected

    By on

Says fits a guinea pig but my pig is only 6 months and she can hardly turn around. Despite size, its a fantastic quality. Lots of breathability and sturdy.

  • The carrier is great but...

    By on

It takes a while to "break in", and is difficult to open until then. Also, in shipment the lid became scratched because of a lava ledge's packaging staple scratching it.

  • Well sized for rats

    By on

Once upon a time I had little rats, and I had the smaller (purple) version of this carrier. Everything was good until hose little boy rats became big boys. That tiny carrier could hold 1 and he wasn't doing more than tail-to-nose doughnuts. I have three different cat carriers to hold them and each has its own drawback (each is a different style) that makes me look for an alternative. So I came back to this. It's adequately sized for two adult male rats (no great room to move like in the cat carrier but, eh), easy to store (don't take it apart, it's a mother to put together), easy to see into (that kid is awesome) and easy to clean. For the bad it is, again, a pain to put together. I don't trust Once upon a time I had little rats, and I had the smaller (purple) version of this carrier. It's weird to open until you get the knack of it. Beats zippers and wire doors however. And lastly, I don't believe it is fragile but I do find myself being more aware/gentle with it than compared to the cat carriers. If you're looking for a great and inexpensive way to transport your rats this is it. I wouldn't put three adults in it and it's not for long trips but for us it's perfect. … more

  • Great product. Read FULL description b4 u order!

    By on

Many folks are ordering before they fully read the description. This is intended for small animals such as rodents. NOT kittens. NOT puppies. Rats, hamsters, bunnies (depending on breed and size), guinea pigs, hedgies etc... I personally love these. I ordered the large recently for my furry potatoes (guinea pigs). Note the large will house ONE full size guinea pig safely and comfortably. But, not for long periods of time. Maybe for travel or such. Two guinea pigs would be too cramped. I posted pictures to explain. The large will NOT hold a larger breed bun. Maybe, a dwarf bun. But, that's pushing it. Maybe a baby bun. But, for a full size bun I highly recommend a cat carrier sized carrier. Many folks are ordering before they fully read the description. This is intended for small animals such as rodents. If you travel with your critters in it, I highly recommend you either putting bedding down or a soft blanket, to prevent them from sliding and adding a bit of comfort 4 them. … more
