Give your pet a sanitary supply of fresh water with the Lixit Dog Faucet Waterer. This faucet adapter fits onto any standard spigot for a flowing water source that’s more natural than still water. You’ll never have to worry about stagnant water getting hot or becoming dirty or unsanitary. With this automatic waterer, you won’t have to remember to fill the bowl, either.
Fast and easy training, dogs learn how to use it almost immediately
Provides fresh and clean water anytime your pup wants it, with no messy or dirty water bowls that have a chance to tip over
Self-serve dog waterer installs on an outdoor faucet in seconds
Fits standard spigots measures 1-1/4" diameter x 3.5" long
protects your dog from thirst, dehydration and communicable diseases
Screw your dog waterer onto an outdoor faucet. Turn on the faucet all the way and press on the lever to show your dog how it works. Your dog will see the water come out and start drinking.
If your dog does not start drinking immediately, help your dog learn by unscrewing the waterer from the faucet just enough so water trickles from the threads down over the waterer. This should attract your dog. Be sure to remove other sources of water. After several hours, demonstrate for your dog again. You can also smear some peanut butter or soft cheese on the lever to encourage your dog to lick it and activate the waterer. Once your dog is trained, be sure to tighten the waterer onto the faucet.
Thought I would give this a try. Had to show my two pups how to use it. I put a bowl underneath it to catch extra drips. Once one figured it out the other caught on. I did take it off in the winter so it wouldn't freeze and break. I always feel safe no matter how hot it gets outside knowing they have access to fresh cold water. Plus I read standing water can attract mosquitoes and skunks to ur yard.
My Bernese loves it

Got this for my Berner since he loves fresh, cold water. Showed him how it works and he caught on quickly. We just make sure the faucet isn't open all the way so the pressure isn't crazy to cause leaks or spraying (we have an insane amount of water pressure where we live). It works great.

Great for dogs. They always have access to water when they're outdoors. The water is always cool even in hot weather. There are no water bowls to keep filling or wash, and the water is always clean and fresh.

We were very pleased with the quality of the product. They were very durable and well made. They work great in our new kennels.
It's a good idea but...

Unfortunately this doesn't work on my outside faucet very well. It puts too much pressure on my faucet. My faucet is old and with the pressure it leaks at the knob dripping water. I kept it thinking maybe I could get a new faucet one day. I was so excited about using this for my cat so I'm a little bummed out.

Works great and he never has to drink hot water. It does have a low flow but it keeps it from spraying everywhere and wasting water. My pup is a 95lb rottweiler lab mix.
No Leaks and User Friendly

She was already used to drinking out of the faucet. She learned how to use the Lixit fairly quickly. We have two. One is in the front yard and the other is in the backyard. We leave it always on, as neither leaks. Water is never warm or hot. Peace of mind knowing she can get fresh clean water whenever she wants.
Great for hot summer days

Our puppy still needs to figure out how to bump it with her nose, but understands that water comes from this faucet. I have used these in the past, and they are wonderful for dogs who are outside, and are self-sufficient. It doesn't leak, and I can trust that my pooch gets fresh water all day when she needs to.
Lixit Faucet Waters

We recently recieved our order for the faucet licks. We installed one on each of the outdoor spikets. We are pleased with how well they work. It is summer here and it was getting impossible to ensure cool fresh water was always available. Installing the licks solved that problem. I feel good knowing that our dogs have cool, fresh water all of the time. I also have peace of mind knowing that the water bowls are not being contaminated with bugs and dirt. Also, it only took a few days to train how the dogs how to use. We added a small amount of peanut butter to the edge and also left the lixit a little loose so it dripped for a few days. A floor saver

Since he was a puppy, our lab drank with his nose underwater. Not a problem untill he inhaled enough water to fill his cheeks. When he walks away from his bowl he leaves a small lake. After many towels and wringing mops out, we bought this dog faucet waterer and a doggie door. He learned quickly how to use both. Now fresh water is available all day and his cheeks are empty by the time he reaches the back door. Life is wonderful.
