Hello, I purchased the bird bath for my African Grey. Once he decided to enter the bath, he immediately went for the plastic tabs on top. They hold the inserted metal bars that hold the unit to the cage. He also loves to chew on the corners at the entrance to the box. The wood perch is also way too lose. He easily lifts it up and tosses it out. It also became a great chew toy. I only leave the bath in his cage for about 10-15 minutes, but Greys can be very quick at destroying things. The site had said the unit was well built and very sturdy. The plastic tabs holding the metal bars on is not heavy duty or sturdy for an African Grey. My Grey will easily break through the plastic tabs and cause the bath to fall. This could cause severe harm to him and/or damage the unit. The portion the perch sets on is also cut too low. When removing the unit from the cage, water pours out since you must slightly tilt the bath to get it out of the bird cage bars. And this is only with a 16.9 oz bottle of water poured in it. The bath would likely be okay for birds that don't like to destroy things. Stilll needs design upgrades though. The concept is good but needs a lot of work on design improvements, the unit's integrity, and safety. Safety of our feathered friends should be priority #1.
My parrot is afraid of this. Will not go anywhere near it. I have asked for A refund but have not heard anything back From you. I sent the request weeks ago
It fits the cage, holds water but the wood perch does not hold firmly. My Eclectus is terrified of it at the moment so I'm not sure if he is capable of dismantling the perch from it yet.
I was worried that it would not be big enough for my Grey (CAG). It is bigger than what I thought it would be. The picture is a very accurate depiction of the size of the bath compared to the size of my bird.
So the bird bath itself was nicely built but my macaw doesn’t fit inside at all . I’d recommended not getting this for larger birds
Once my grey figured out that it wasn’t going to eat him, he started bathing in it daily. He loves it now.
