I was using a little collapsable bowl for my dog to drink out of with water from a camelback. She hated the water from the camelback and would refuse to drink. This bottle allows us to make sure that she has her own water and now I don't have to carry around a separate bowl. The bowl attachment took a second for me to figure out, but you just bend it backward/inside-out to turn it into the bowl. It's easy to clean and the strap makes it even more convenient.
This should be a simple concept. A bowl connected to a bottle. Whomever designed this obviously never used it. You can't get the bowl off the bottle without major struggle. Then You can't get it back on. Imagine if you dog is dying of thirst. I would love to send it back!
I was very disappointed with this water bottle - it appears to be a fold out tray/bowl for the water, similar to a larger version I already own. But the tray/bowl doesn't simply fold out to hold the water. You have to take the tray/bowl off to fill it, which you can't do easily. And to refold it, you have to again remove the tray/bowl and reattach - again, not easily. i was looking for a water bottle that had a tray that easily flips out and then also easily folds back against the bottle. This bottle does not do that.
Chewy continues to make available an extensive list of available products. Their shipping is expedient and very reliable. There is an extremely high level of quality in every item I have ordered over the past 15 years.
Bought one for my dog and one for a friends dog. We walk together. With ice cubes the water stays cold and the dogs love them!!
This is the best creative way to hydrate your dog without having to carry around something heavy. The flip out bowl is perfect and the strap is very practical. I bought one for a friend and she loves it.
This is a respectable water bottle, although it would be nicer if it was a bit larger to contain more water. The extendable bowl works nicely and my dogs can easily drink from it. The dispenser is nicely designed to allow the water to flow into the bowl.
Finally a water bottle that doesn't leak! I was hesitant to buy this, as I feel like I've bought them ALL and they leak on me. This one is SOLID. would buy one for all my friends if I were that rich. It's a little annoying to flip the rubber bowl up and down every time I want to give my dog a drink, but that's only because the rubber is THICK and quality; it will not rip any time soon. would buy again... and i probably will so that i can have one at my boyfriend's house, too.
In trying to make this bottle dummy proof Lixit made this a pain to use. The pop top is very difficult to open and close, and if the cap is not very tight it will leak. Should have called it "Leaxit". (Sorry. I couldn't help myself.) The water is dispensed out of the side of the top in an effort to fill the bowl more efficiently but this really isn't necessary especially considering how difficult it is to move. Both the top and the bowl swivel around so this requires an additional step to make sure the spout and bowl are aligned before squeezing out the water. I bought two of these to keep one in my car but will be returning one of them to search for an alternative. In the mean time I simply replaced the cap to a regular sports bottle cap and it functions much better.
Once you wrestle the plastic inside out to get it to hold water, it holds very little before tipping over. My dog would not drink from it. To be returned.
