How soft is the leather for the owner's hand? I bought one in 2004 for my sweet Lab whom I lost in 2018. I am currently fostering a Lab as I have since rescued another Lab - I need that soft but durable leather. Thanks.

Not heavy duty

Bought this for my Great Dane there is no way it would hold him. It might be heavy duty for a small dog but not anything over a small dog

IS Owner/Mama

The Logical Leather leash was purchased for our Irish Setter puppy. The leash was only used for 2 weeks before the snap closing failed for an 11 pound puppy. A few days later it failed a second time. I will not use this leash again. If you have one, please check the fastener to insjure it will not allow your baby to escape.

Warning / beware/ caution

You get what you pay for. This is made poorly and obviously this mfg has no dogs. I would recommend that you pay more to get something that will actually be worthy of being called a dog lead. This would be good for a 3 mo old puppy.

This is not heavy duty as advertised. Heavy duty for a very small dog maybe. Mediocre product but it was shipped fast. :) I'm unsure what good that is.

Didn’t like this leash

This leash is not what I expected it to be. The edges were very hard and it is uncomfortable to grip. It smells terrible, it’s been outside an entire week and I still can’t bring it inside. The clip is very stiff and hard to use and after looking at it carefully it doesn’t look like it would stand up to being pulled on vigorously. The description says made in USA, the box says made in Mexico. In a way it doesn’t even look like leather.

Leather Collar

I loved it when I saw it but apparently my standard poodle didn’t. She bit thru it the very first time I had it on her. I bought it because she has a bad habit of biting her leashes and I thought this would be the one. I was wrong and I am currently looking for one that she can’t eat thru.

Not heavy duty

80 pound dog pulled suddenly and the fastener broke and the dog went running. I bought heavy duty so I wouldn’t have to worry about a strong dog pulling and breaking it. Don’t waste your money.

If you have a large dog, this leash is for you

I had ordered another leather leash which my 80 puppy promptly broke in search of an errant squirrel. Chewy refunded my money (great customer service as always) and I ordered this as a replacement. Thick, strong and perfect for a larger, stronger dog.
