I use these for treats when we walk as my pups are little (6lbs ea) so I need to be careful on loading them up on calorie heavy treats. But the really work well as trainers for any size dog as they don't seem to care: I've given these to a Bernadoodle and whenever she sees us coming she bounds up to us. I've never had a dog that had teeth still turn one down and my girls have been happy with all the flavors we've tried.
My 16 yr. old senior dog (amazingly) enjoyed this kibble. It's VERY tiny, but so is she. She does have her teeth still and had no trouble eating this. And it must be tasty - otherwise she just sniffs whatever is presented and walks away disgusted. This she ate...happily.
I have several rescues. I've been getting this food for my little senior with kidney issues as it had the lowest Phosphorus levels of non-RX foods. The kibble size is extra tiny which I love for my senior with fragile teeth. I've had my girl on this for about 6 months and her kidney levels have actually improved! That said, she hates it...and she is NOT a picky eater. A few of my other dogs won't touch this food either. It also smells sour to me... I've switched to an RX kidney diet (which is surprisingly cheaper than this) and she is enjoying meal times again. This food is probably nutritious but perhaps not very palatible.
Recently had my little guy in for his annual check-up, and the vet asked what he was eating. “His coat looks fantastic and he is in great shape for his age (almost 8). Whatever it is, keep him on it. He’s thriving.”
perfect for our elderly golden/ she always loved small bites// these are tiny crunchy and she likes them
My Shih tzu loves this food. I love that it’s limited ingredient and not over processed like most kibble. Also he had some teeth removed from defects so the small bites are perfect
The kibbles are small and crunch easily which is great because my 15-year-old dog has had a few teeth pulled. I also wanted to keep her on a lower fat food because of a previous bout with pancreatitis and she needed to lose a little weight. After being on this for many months she has lost 1 1/2 pounds and is at her ideal weight. She has much more energy for her walks, she will often even run AND she can take herself up the stairs without needing help. I am so glad that we switched to this.
The claims are that these kibble pieces are easier for dogs with bad teeth to eat. They refused to even let it touch their mouth. One dog is fussy, but the other is not.
I was actually told about this food from Pet Food Express. They were such a tremendous help in finding the correct food for my Shepherd Mix Rescue! I was happy to find that Chewy has this and able to ship! Also when there has been any issues the customer service rep. was wonderful!
My dog loves this food. Needed to get him off wet food due to dental issues.
