The dimension for this cat bowl within the raised lip is 12 inches long and 11 1/2 inches going across.
How many Necoichi food bowls will sit on this mat? 1 or 2? Thank you.

This mat measures 19 x 12 x .85 inches so the quantity of bowls which can fit may vary, depending on the size of the bowl(s).

Does the job

This product is well-made and looks nice. It is sturdy, not flexible. My only complaint is similar to that of other reviewers: you can't choose the color you want.

The best food mat - nothing fishy about it!

I have two cats. Arwen drinks from the side of her perpetual filling water dish and gets water everywhere. Oakley picks his canned food out of the bowl and drops it everywhere. I tried the carpet mats but Arwen's was always wet so mildew was a problem. I tried the small rimmed mats but they couldn't contain the mess and, when full of water, spilled when I picked them up to empty them. This adorable fish mat is purrfect because it's rigid so won't spill when I pick it up. It also has a pour spout between the tail fins to funnel water cleanly into the sink. The scales are raised and at first I was concerned the dishes would shift but everything stays put. The edge is high enough to contain 98% of the mess. The area is large enough to hold one small refilling water bowl and two small food dishes. A side note: Thank you, Chewy, for amazingly fast delivery!

Cute and works great!!!

I love this mat! I have two ceramic cat food dishes on it and it works well. Lays flat. No bowing. This will be my second one.

cute and practical

i got this knowing it would be on the small side based on the other reviews. I got it to put under my cat fountain and its a perfect fit! easy to clean, and handy spout in the tail to pour out any stray water. perfect under a fountain or water bowl

Disappointed

There were two separate options for the mat color, beige & aqua. I chose beige, but it put the aqua colored one in my cart. I contacted customer service & they informed me that the color is random. I don’t understand why there was a pull down with two different color choices if it was random. I received the aqua color. It is very hard plastic with little round knobs that do nothing to keep it still on a tile floor & it slides all over the place. It was a total waste of money and I’m disappointed.

Color is random

I also picked the beige color from the drop down menu and got the teal color. What put a color option if you don’t get to pick the color? Love the mat just wanted the beige color.
