** Installing your Gobble Stopper:**

  1. Use a clean, dry bowl with a flat inner floor.
  2. Clean and dry the underside of the Gobble Stopper's suction cup. Make sure it is fully dry.
  3. Place the Gobble Stopper in the center of the bowl and press down firmly on the top of the bone, making sure the suction cup adheres to the bowl floor with a good seal. Give a test tug on the bone to make sure it is attached well.
  4. Add pet's food as usual.

Cleaning your Gobble Stopper:

  1. Lift up on the small tab of the suction cup to release the suction seal. Remove Gobble Stopper from bowl.
  2. Wash Gobble Stopper by hand or by placing on top rack of the dishwasher. If cleaning by hand, use nontoxic dish soap and water. Use a small scrub brush if necessary to remove stuck-on debris. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry fully before reinstalling.

  • Not a great product

    By on

I bought this for my German Shepherd/lab mix as he eats his food so fast. I wanted to try this before buying an expensive puzzle feeder for him. This DOES NOT work. It will not stick to the metal bowl and he just pulls it out and scarfs his food. I have washed the bowl, dried it, I rubbed water on the suction cup and pushed it down onto the bowl. I even picked up the bowl and pushed from under the bowl while pushing the bone down. It doesn't stick or last for 1 meal. I wound't waste the few dollars on this it doesn't work. I have tried sticking this so many times and my dog now just wants to chew and play with it. Disappointing.

  • Didn't last

    By on

I saw this in a pet store and thought it would be good for our boxer (who eats like he's never had a meal in years.) I was excited to see it on chewy for a better price. I read the reviews and knew to get the bigger size. It arrived and my husband and I tried to get it stay in the bowl, put a lot of weight on it to get it to stay. It still popped off and him and our lab/mastiff mix used it as a chew toy. It didn't last long. Glad I didn't pay the crazy price for it.

  • Good product for dogs with elevated dishes

    By on

I needed something to slow down my greyhound's eating but he uses an elevated dish. I was happy to see a product for this situation since all other options for slowing down eating were dishes for the floor. This product works decently well and has slowed his eating by about twice as long. I've had no issues with the suction cup not staying in place. I adhere it to the clean dish with a tiny bit of water, and after having it for about a month my dog has yet to push or pull it off. I got the 8+ inch (large) size and it fits well in his dish. I will continue to use it for as long as it remains effective!

  • I was skeptical...

    By on

But this little stopper works very well at slowing down one of my Dachshunds 'hoover' like eating habits. It fits in the bowls I already own, so no need to buy an odd looking new bowl that doesn't match the others. (yes, I prefer things to match) and the suction cup stays put. My bowls are stainless on the inside. Great product. Better than I expected and very reasonably priced. I recommend it for anyone that needs to slow down their dogs mealtime.

  • Didn’t work for me

    By on

I was really excited about this since I was looking for an elevated slow feeder. The suction wouldn’t work for ANY of the bowls I own. I tested it out on a few. One plastic, one ceramic, and one metal bowl. It would stick until I put the food in. Bummmmmer. Would love some suggestions on an elevated slow feeder or something I could put in my baby’s bowl to slow down her feeding. I still LOVE chewy but this product just wasn’t a winner for me.

  • Works well!

    By on

We have a very high energy puppy. He can normally scarf down his dinner in a matter of minutes, but then he always gets the hiccups instantly. This stopper has slowed his eating significantly, and the hiccups have virtually stopped. Highly recommend. We do have to lift the bowl off the ground after he’s finished, because he’s smart enough to break the suction seal and then play with it, like it’s one of his toys.

  • It's working for my small dog!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I had my doubts about this because my small dog is fed mostly wet food but it's actually been working very well. It slows her down from about 10-15 seconds to at least 2 minutes. Haven't had any problems with it staying in place either. An improvement would be to make the the bone part solid so food wouldn't get stuck on the underside to make it easier to clean. I'm happy with it and for the price it 's a deal!

  • Excellent!

I brought this product for my Great Dane, it worked very well! It slowed down his eating and he doesn't inhale his food like he used to. He is even much more calm before i put his food down. I put just a drop of water on the bottom of the suction cup before I stick it to the bottom of his stainless steel bowl and it sticks really well! Love it! Would definitely recommend.

  • Cheap & useless

    By on

I should know by now that you get what you pay for, but this seemed like a simple thing that would be fine.... it doesn’t stay stuck down to the bowl for more than about 30 seconds. We have a flat bottom, basic plastic food dish for our dog so I know it’s not just our dish that’s the problem. This is cheap junk. Don’t waste your time with this piece of junk.

  • Good for cats

    By on

My cat eats his food WAY too fast and this has helped so much. The only problem us that he'll make a huge mess trying to get the food, I don't think it's the product's fault though. I think he's just being a defiant kitteh. I still love him and will continue to feed him even though he gives me agita (see photo)
