Tray of crate cracked in 7 months from a puppy
Received crate in Dec 2021, German shepherd puppy was only 3 months old, she is now 10 months and weighs ONLY 58 lbs and last month noticed tray of crate is cracking where pan rests on crate supports on the underside of the crate wire. This is a crate that is 42 in long so it should be made to withstand heavier breeds. This is unacceptable
I have a boxer who needs to be crated when alone and a home already full of people and their stuff. The two things seemed incompatible. Most crates with doors that swing out take up so much space - the crate footprint plus the space for the door to swing out. The flush doors of this crate are such space savers! The crate is also very sturdy. It keeps the dog safe and secure. We are really happy with it.
Good Price for a Large Crate
This crate was easy to assemble and is sturdy; we found no manufacturing problems. Carrying handle and two access doors beneficial. There is sufficient room for our soon to be 65 pound dog to grow (there is lots of headroom which is deceptive in the advertisement photos which look like there is not much headroom) and a divider panel if your dog is small when you start crating. Footprint of this crate is very large so recommend measuring carefully prior to purchase.
no complaints, love it !!!!
This crate is great! Just what I needed for my 50lb pitbull mix. It’s big nice and roomy so she can move around freely. I love that the doors slide open so they don’t take up unnecessary space or get in the way. Overall, great purchase! Sturdy and reliable so far.
Not for strong dogs
I was excited to get this to use for our new puppy for her nighttime crating. I liked the idea of the sliding side door access so the door wouldn't be sticking out in the way. This crate is VERY flimsy. A determined dog could possibly escape. The connecting wires were bent upon arrival. I had to rebend them in order for the door to be attached to the sides. The idea was good but for a large dog, I'm not sure if it will hold. I will keep it to use as a feeding crate and purchase a different one for sleeping. I've purchased several Midwest crates over the years and they are MUCH sturdier!
Room for days
Anubis loves his new crate. He previously had a different crate the next size down. The Lucky Dog sits beautifully under my standing desk. The doors are a shin saver for sure. Anubis loves how much room it gives him, his water bowl, and his dinner bowl. He naps in it during the day (open) and sleeps in it at night (closed). Before he would hate going in there and I would have to move the bowls out. We are happier people for Lucky Dog.
Recommended with reservations
Was pretty excited about this crate when I first saw it. The side door was really appealing to me. Upon assembly I found that the side door was only capable of being installed on the right side (as you face it) of the crate. Since I had intended to place the crate next to an existing large crate (on the left side) the side door was not accessible. I turned the crate around so that the front of the crate was against the wall and the side door was then on the left side but the front door was then unusable. but we do like the side door. Crate seems to be well built and sturdy enough - I always like to zip tie the sides just to be safe. The feet for the corners (to save your floors) don't clip on and fall off when picking up the crate in the slightest.
I purchased this crate with the sliding door. It's perfect for my space. I live in a RV without slides so the aisle is narrow and I didn't want the type with only the swinging door option as it would stick out. I love this sliding door!
Sliding door cage
We now own 2 of these cages. The sliding door is so nice so you don’t have to worry about walking into it. We keep the sliding door open so the dogs can use the cage as a break area.
Best crate ever. I love it.
I love this crate. I like the opening on the side and how it slides out. I also like having the extra door on the other end too. I leave to side door open sometimes for my dog to go as he pleases. Putting together and breaking it down is easy and simple.
