How long does shipping take?

Can the door openings be reversed?
Answer by MaliMamaApr 22, 2021
The easy answer is No. It is feasible to remove the single door from the end, flip it to reattach for the opposite swing. But... There will be no latch receiver to lock the door into. A makeshift latching mechanism would be required. With the Slider door there is no need to reverse anything as the two doors slide open to the sides within a sturdy track.

I bought a kennel from you and the floor in the kennel is cracking all over it and wanted to buy a new one or a better one that will last much longer, can you recommend something for me please.....

Which direction does the side door slide to (large kennel ) up and down ? Right or left or is it divided and goes two ways ? Can't see in the pictures
Answer by ChewyOct 16, 2020
The long door splits open and tucks into both sides.

Sturdier than others

This crate is much more sturdy than others we've tried. I would've given more stars but the primary reason we chose this crate is side door access and liked the sliding door option rather than a big swinging door. It would be nice if the opening was taller. Our pup has to keep her head down to enter/exit through the sliding door, which has sharp edges along the track. To protect her feet, we leave the sliding door open and keep a rug covering the bottom edge. The dog we bought this for opts to steal her little brother's bed. It's a nice crate but it's not perfect for us.

Door came off track

I loved this crate when I unboxed it. The doors slide neatly across the track and the third latch makes it more secure than some of my past crates. Unfortunately, my puppy ran into one of the doors on the way out and the door came completely off the track somehow, making the crate unusable within a couple weeks of purchase. We CANNOT get the door back on. This was a 30 pound puppy in a 24”x42” crate. I am quite disappointed.

Worst crate ever

Do not buy this crate! The sliding door is a complete pain in the butt!! The doors fall off and it’s so hard to put them back on! And for a large dog that would fit in that size crate, the sliding door is so tiny! Don’t waste your money on this crate! Get one with two of the hinged doors instead. I didn’t realize it had a sliding door when I bought it. I will never buy a slider door again. In the photo you can see how much of a gap there is from the slider to the roof. Such a stupid design.

weak and unsafe

This crate seemed great for a few months. One day I crated my 75lb dog and went to leave, and she pushed her head completely through the corner bars on the side of the crate. Luckily she kept pushing and got all the way through within a couple seconds. It was terrifying, and if she had hesitated she would have died. There was no way I could have pried the bars off her neck. She never tried to get out of her crate before, and she instantly got her giant head through it. I think there needs to be more pieces securing the corners. Please fix this issue and make the crate safe.

Sliding door

The size of this crate is as indicated and is good for my Aussie, but I bought this specifically for the sliding door and there is no way she fits through the door unless she crawls. The sliding door is not the height of the crate. Fortunately it has the flip open door on the end but that was what I was trying to get away from

Large Crate

I needed a bigger crate for my dog & purchased the Luckydog crate. Love the sliding door. Makes it easier to place the crate anywhere in the house. My dog loves it because she can stretch out when she sleeps

Metal very weak, not suitable for a big dog

The swinging door on the hinge came bowed. When latched, you could put your thumb in the opening and with a little pressure bow the door even more. I was able to bow the door 2 more inches with thumb pressure only. A large dog would have NO PROBLEM pushing against that door and pushing their snout and/or prying their head through the bowed opening. The metal strength of the door is not strong enough to resist bowing which would allow for potential injury to a dog. It's bowed at the bottom of the door also. This extra large crate is definitely not suitable for a large dog. I can't say it enough. I'm very grateful it the door came bowed because if the door was flush with the frame I would not have considered bowing of the door and possible injury to my dog. Sending it back.

The biggest crate! Perfect for our Doberman Pinscher

Our rapidly growing 4mo old dobie loves his new crate. It’s perfect for large breed dogs such as American Bulldogs,German Shepherds,Labradors and the like. It’s got a huge side opening with 2 sliding doors & an end door with an additional door that’s easy to open&latch.

not very sturdy

My wiem was able to chew this crate and destroy the end. Busting off bars and literally bending the metal

3 years later

So may of 2020. I ordered my first lucky dog sliding door 48" dog crate. My Dane is not a crate dog to begin with and ended up bending in a side after a year. The crate came in with some bended spots but overall usable. Needless to say i rescued more dogs and now 3 years later a small bully decided to eat the bottom tray while i was at work. But my other dog has broke the sliding door off twice by getting his collar stuck to the latch. It is hard to put the sliding door back on but not impossible. Needless to say i just ordered another one because the convenience of the sliding doors. For the price and size i can deal with a little bends as long as they aren't broken. I have searched everywhere and chewy was the cheapest place to get it at this time plus its for cat's. Fisker (i believe is the name) makes one that looks stronger but it wasnt on sale and was about double in price.
