Lumo Ridgeback Long Hair Self-Cleaning Dog Grooming Tool

This comb did remove a lot of dead hair in our dog's thick undercoat. The comb is fairly easy to clean, too. However, our dog is a senior with sensitive hips and the tines on this comb were too rough on her when combing her backside. Also, the comb did get stuck in some thicker areas which caused her to wince. We always groom her gently and even doing so with this comb it caused her discomfort. The comb worked well as a smoothing comb on our other two dogs who have shorter coats.

Interesting tool. Works well on undercoat on my Tatra Mountain Dog. Only 4 stars, as it is a bit heavy and the pins are a bit thick, so awkward feel in my hand.

The Lumo Ridgeback is far superior to any brush I've ever used on multiple dogs - bristle brushes, slicker / pin brushes, gloves, even a few de-shedding /cutting tools like the Furminator. The metal tines are sturdy unlike the pin brushes yet they have dull tips that don't hurt (me or the dog!). The Lumo works extremely well using short strokes and you can actually be firm without worrying that you are hurting your dog. She sees the brush and lays down to enjoy with no fear of getting stuck or pinched. She even rolls over to be brushed on her belly which would never have happened with any prior brush. My cat even likes it. I like the fur eject feature - fur comes out easily with a single pull of the lever and I definitely suggest letting it fill up as much as possible. I have a long hair Belgian Shepherd this works great in between grooming. This time of the year he is shedding like crazy but he loves to be brushed and this brush get in and takes it out so easily. The best is how to clean it pull up on the top and the hair just pops out. Wish I had a hairbrush like this.
