Happy birds

I thought I'd try this product out to attract smaller birds & it certainly worked! We have so many now I practically have to fill my feeders every other day. The gold finch (which can be hard to attract in our area) went from one, that would come by every once in a while, to about 4 pairs that hangout a lot. It's been fun watching them all enjoy their new food.

Goldfinches and house finches enjoy this mix

The finch birdseed from Lyrics I bought for the first time works pretty well to attract goldfinches, house finches, and also song sparrows in the yard. They seem to enjoy eating this blend. It attracts mourning doves and red-winged blackbirds that are waiting for the seeds dropping from the yellow feeder and eat on the seep hoop.

Four out of five finches agree...

This seed attracts the birds (goldfinches first, then house finches, warblers, sparrows, cardinals, nuthatches) and, especially in spring, is quickly consumed. Main difficulty for me is price, which varies, especially in shipping costs (delivery, I know, is more expensive now with high fuel prices and difficulty finding drivers). The large bag is still a better buy than four smaller ones.

Finch Birdseed

Our visiting birds love it. They will sit on the spot waiting for their lunch & dinner to be served. They are quite spoiled!

Birds don't like this.

To begin, the seam had started to open in transit spilling seed out in the box. The seed smells moldy and the birds won't eat it. In fact nothing will eat it! I ordered this because I couldn't find the seed I normally order. With the old seed there was never anything left by morning.

The Lyric finch mix is just OK

It is OK. Would be better with sunflower seed chips. There are none.

If you like Finches and other small birdies, this is a good low waste treat.

I feed a fair amount of birds around the yard. From little Finches to medium sized Crows, Steller's Jays and ScrubJays. I put this type of seed mixed with some similar sized low waste bits in feeders around the yard and in a window feeder as well. We've been burning through this feed at all of the feeding stations. Juncos, Finches and most all other small birds are addicted to this blend of beaky food. Good price if you can handle the monster sized bag.

Very high quality mix of cleanseed suited to outdoor and indoor finches.

Unexpectedly high quality mix and is very well used by out door and indoor finches. My little guys inside leave very little uneaten seed on the floor. Same for the outdoor ones and some unusual birds I had not known to live here are here now feeding their little ones. When they see me with new seed they come close and twitter happily.

Can't fill the feeders fast enough

I have a tube feeder hanging near a window. For months it went ignored by all the small birds bouncing around the backyard. I had some generic wild bird seed mix in there. Eventually, I emptied it and filled it with this - it took a few days before they caught on, but now there are often 4-5 little birds vying for spots on the feeder. I can't keep it filled!
