Removed from the menu!
Not in the tube feeder, not in the tray feeder, not on the ground! The birds want nothing to do with this seed. Hope it’s of value in the composter.
Flinch seed
Love seed and so do my many finches. I have two feeders and in about 3 days all the seed is gone. I assume they must like it!
My yard birds love this
After buying a sock with seed in it and seeing the birds eat it I decided to geta a feeder and bag of nyjer seed. I purchased a bag of Kaytee nyjer seed locally and the birds wouldn't touch it. It took a couple of years before I gave up. But I really like having a variety of birds and decided to try this brand since their other bird food products are generally of high quality. My on my the birds LOVE this particular food! I have to fill my feeder often. Most of the birds I get are finches and probably other varieties of similar smaller size. And as another anecdote, my neighbor got a nyjer feeder and bought Kaytee nyjer seed and the the birds wouldn't touch it. I found out about this when she gave up and gave me her bag of seed and found out it was the brand the local birds won't eat!
Poorly packed for shipping
Two bags of thistle were thrown in with two cases of dog food, They arrived with the bags ripped and thistle all over the inside of the bag. Normally, Chewy does a better job, but someone wasn't using their head on this one. With thistle being as expensive as it is, I really would hope more care would be taken shipping it. Happily, most of it is salvageable, and I can pour it out of the box, but that means using the newest bags first and also having to find something to dump thistle into.
The best nyjer
I've had a nyjer feeder for years, birds barely touched it, I'd empty it out every few months to refresh. I have it near a selection of seed mix and suet. I bought this brand of nyjer and it's been a total turn around...the BIRDS empty it every week, no waste, they love it. I would never have thought brand in nyjer seed would matter but it totally does apparently. Will definitely keep ordering.
Goldfinches lined up
I've kept a goldfinch feeder for years but I've never had so many visitors before. They're lined up in the bushes waiting their turn. Seed is very clean, no dust or debris.

seed is very clean and birds are eating it happily, so assume it must be fresh ... will certainly order again when my winged children have devoured this bag :-)
