While my kitty loves many a product Made by Nacho, this one he turned his nose up at. He wouldn't tell me why.
I have 5 cats. Mixed ages. Some picky eaters and some not. This was a hit. They all loved it.
So my cat is a senior (17 years old) and he’s gotten picky in his old age. He’ll eat something for a bit and then decide he no longer likes it. He’s too thin so I’m giving him whatever he’ll eat. He really likes this stuff. I’ve been giving it to him for a while. He did have rock solid poops and this food has loosened him up…now he has diarrhea. Too much of a good thing I guess so I’ll have to feed him limited amounts along with other foods.
I was excited to find food for my cat with pheasant as she really liked Purina Beyond Pheasant and it is no longer being made. She also likes Made By Nacho Beef pouches so I felt some confidence, unfortunately she recoiled from this food. That's a lot of money down the drain, I wish Chewy would allow to try new food by purchasing a min of 2 for instance, that would avoid situations like this.
However the packaging is really difficult to deal with. Hard to open and store leftovers. It would be too much for my cat to eat in one sitting. She really loved it though.
Boo has digestive issues and they have significantly subsided since switching to to this Nacho recipe. Kookoo has some allergies and this also works for him. Both lick their bowl clean. A bit expensive.
I have 2 cats. 1 wouldn't try it at all. The other thought it was just ok. It smells a little sweet. Probably wouldn't buy again.
Because I’d started buying the Nacho chicken chunks in bone broth I thought I’d stay in the poultry family and try the turkey and giblets. It’s supposed to be of a pate consistency and also came in a small box which holds more than the pouches so I thought it might be a money saver also. There was really no bone broth to speak of. I found the texture a bit weird and not like a true pate. My cat didn’t like it at all; he tried it twice and both times gave up. Now I’m stuck with an entire box of the stuff. So far he’s only enjoying the chicken chunks in bone broth which I will continue to purchase.
This doesn't smell as bad as most wet cat foods do, and all my cats love it. It's too soon to tell if it's helping their health, but they arent vomiting from it, and seem happy when they eat it. It pricy but I believe that what we consume, human and animals, is the leading cause of health or lack of so.
This is the first Made by Nacho product I’ve tried and my two cats both love it. They’re not really too picky when it comes to wet food though, the only wet food they wouldn’t touch at all was Instinct grain-free chicken pate. When you first open it the consistency does look a little different than other pates, but I think it’s just the bone broth liquid separated - I stir it up a bit and serve it and it looks normal.
