Oh my god. These treats smell like dog breath but my 19 year old cat acts like a kitten for them! I've been struggling for the past few months to find treats and food for my 19 year old after a bout of pancreatitis. He developed food aversions to his prescription food and treats due to associating them with vomiting :( He has food allergies and IBD (from the allergies) so it's been difficult to find single protein foods without chicken/filler/sugar/junk. I figured he'd have mild interest at a new treat but the second he got a whiff, he was ON THE MOVE and followed me around the house for additional treats despite having just ate and also having arthritis! I highly recommend trying these if you have a picky fellow at home, especially with food or digestive sensitivities.
I have a cat that is sensitive to foods so certain treats he cannot have. But he loves these, and it doesn't seem to bother him.
My cats LOVE these. It has a strong smell so would be great for trying to entice a picky cat to try a new food!
These treats dont smell like other cat treats. I bought the duck liver, turkey and chicken treats and all of them smelled like cardboard. Unsurprisingly, my cat did not like these and didnt even try to eat them. I also would note that these treats are too big for the average house cat. If you have a Maine Coon that may not be an issue, but otherwise these treats are more of a choking hazard. My cat does like this brands wet food though so at least theres that.
Oddly enough, my extremely picky boy absolutely loves this, while my easy going girl doesn’t really care for it.
Duck is a natural laxative if given in large enough quantity, but something about these treats causes explosions, the flavor is a no-go in my house!
I had been feeding my cats vitalcat freeze dried duck liver and they LOVE it, i use it as a treat and as a topper. This was a better deal so i gave it a try but as soon as I opened it I could tell my cats wouldn’t like it. The vitalcat ones have a beefy stinky smell that they go crazy for. This one kind of smells like vitamin supplements and they turn their nose up at it. I didnt know that the same product could be so different but I’m sticking with vitalcat for now.
This is a great treat. They are small bits, so you don't have to break each one apart. The duck liver treats are not hard as a rock, more on the brittle side and easy to chew. There is little to no smell.
Bag is tiny for the price, some of the pieces inside are larger so beware for smaller animals. When you get to the bottom of the bag you will find lots of bits and pieces and crumbs. Not much value for the price. That said, my cat did seem to enjoy them, what was there.
It is the best treat for cat! My cat love it!!!!!!
