Are these high protein?
Yes, all of our dry food recipes are high in protein.
Do these have guaranteed levels of taurine?
Yes! Taurine is an essential amino acid that supports vision and heart health in cats, as well as the production of bile salts that aid in digestion. Although cats require taurine to thrive, they are unable to produce a sufficient amount on their own to support these critical bodily functions. They need an adequate dietary supply or they become deficient.
Do these have probiotics and prebiotics?
Yes! Prebiotics help digestive health and probiotics support a healthy gut microbiome.
Do we have any chicken free?
We do not have chicken-free dry food available at this time, but do offer wet food formulated without chicken options— check out our Minced Pollock & Salmon Recipe and our Pollock & Salmon Pâté!
Do we have any fish free?
We do not have fish-free dry food available at this time.
Does the packaging contain BPA?
We do not add BPA in any amount to our packaging. BPA occurs naturally in the environment, and trace amounts may be detected in non-BPA substances.
How long will it last once I open the bag?
We suggest using our products by the “Best by” date stamped on the bag. The best by date is accurate regardless of whether the bag is opened or not. We recommend storing recipes in a cool, dark place for optimum freshness.

Is the food shelf stable?
Yes, our recipes are shelf stable and should be stored in a cool, dark place (like your pantry) until used. Once wet food is opened, refrigerate any unused portion and serve within 3 - 5 days. Dry foods should be used before the best by date stamped on the bag whether the package has been opened or not. Dry food is best consumed within 2-3 months after opening under proper storage conditions.
Is the packaging recyclable?
Our dry food bags are not currently recyclable. We do offer recyclable packaging via our value- sized treats and products in tetra packaging (pâtés, minced recipes, and bone broth toppers). We’re also actively seeking sustainable and recyclable packaging solutions across our entire menu.
What are the freeze dried pieces for/made of?
We include freeze-dried raw chicken livers in our Chicken, Duck & Quail Recipe, Salmon, Whitefish and Pumpkin Recipe, and Beef, Rabbit, and Pumpkin recipe. Our Paella-inspired and Provençal-style recipes use freeze-dried raw pork livers. Freeze-dried liver provides irresistible flavor, extra protein for strong muscles, and a palate-pleasing crunch.
What is the size of the kibble?
All of our kibbles, with the exception of kitten, are 10mm discs. These are about 0.4-in wide. Our kitten kibble is a 7mm disc. These are about 0.3-in wide.
What's the difference between probiotics and prebiotics?
Probiotics are living bacteria (sometimes called “good bacteria”) that contribute to the good bacteria already living in the digestive system—just like the “live and active cultures” in yogurt for humans. Prebiotics are plant fiber that the good bacteria eat, creating a healthy living environment to support overall health.
Where are our products made (USA)
Our products are made in the USA. While we source as many ingredients as possible from North America (including our cage-free chicken and turkey, sustainably caught tuna, cod, salmon, and whitefish), select essential vitamins and minerals critical to cat nutrition are only available globally.
Why is the color of the kibble different from the last bag?
We use whole, natural ingredients in our dry food recipes. Natural ingredients can vary in color during manufacturing. Because we don’t use artificial colors, colors may slightly change depending on when the recipes are produced.
