    Great fit great price

By Paul on Sep 29, 2021

Lot of bad reviews saying bad quality cheap doesn't line up ect. I was all nervous upon arrival expecting the worst. Brought my drill bits and small drill from work and in maybe 20mins with help of my wife holding parts had it all together and it looks great. Not flimsy not super cheap. What do you expect for 70$ vs the glass tanks that go for around 400$ in this size. My lizard loves it and will for years to come. Thanks chewy for saving me 320$. Now I can spoil my bearded dragon with lots of roaches and worms and a new set of lights.

    great price and quality

By woof on Sep 23, 2021

I bought this because it was a budget friendly option for my tortoise. After ordering I read the reviews and got nervous but honestly I had zero issues assembling this with a small power drill it’s perfect for our needs I would highly recommend.

    Parts & Price Match. CHEAP!

By Steve on Jul 25, 2021

No predrilled holes. Material is cheap. Pre-assembled parts aren't square. Buyer Beware. You get what you're paying for. If you need an inside habitat, this should work, but don't be impressed. I wouldn't recommend it for an outside habitat, as it doesn't square up, you can't secure it, but that's a chance you take.

    Takes to long

By Thomas on Sep 13, 2021

I love the Reptile House, love the free shipping but it takes to long. 1-3 day shipping is a joke. It took a week and 3 days to get here.

    Inexpensive, but poor quality.

By Rocky on May 26, 2021

We got this enclosure for a small Russian Tortoise, to provide a home for a neighbor to house our little friend for when we travel. The good is that it was inexpensive. But the wood feels very light and is of poor quality. The instructions for putting it together was equally poor. Because of the quality, the structure wasn't completely aligned. Accordingly, the top is a little skewed. We will probably ultimately use this as an outside enclosure, but will need to protect it from the elements, as it seems that it will deteriorate due to the quality of the wood.

    Inside home for our Tortoise

By Doug on May 8, 2021

Hot here in Phoenix so we needed a place inside for our Russian Tortoise. A little coconut mulch and she is happy. I wouldn't want anything bigger in the house. She has a living room and a bedroom. If you are thinking about buying this you are probably looking for something less expensive than the pet shop that you can put together yourself. You definitely have to put this one together. Took about an hour. Make sure you have saw horses or a craft table to put it together on. Comes with all the hardware and the individual bottom, sides and top. There are guide holes in the side pieces but no holes in the wood where they meet so I used a drill with a small bit. Simply line up the pieces and use Hot here in Phoenix so we needed a place inside for our Russian Tortoise. A little coconut mulch and she is happy. I wouldn't want anything bigger in the house. Comes with all the hardware and the individual bottom, sides and top. There are guide holes in the side pieces but no holes in the wood where they meet so I used a drill with a small bit. Simply line up the pieces and use the existing hole as a guide for the drill. I guess you could not drill the screw hole in the joined piece but that would be harder and the wood piece may crack. The directions are simply pictures but it is actually fairly straight forward. The long sides are longer than the bottom to allow the end pieces to securely fit so make sure you don't screw the sides in the wrong place. The wood is light, inexpensive wood that is stapled together with a light metal wire grill for viewing. I wouldn't leave this out in the elements as it would likely deteriorate in sun and rain. It does have what appears to be a galvanized metal bottom, which is not removable. Has a very light spray paint finish, hopefully the tortoise won't chew on it. It is just a wooden box which you could probably make yourself if you are crafty, but for the price, this is more than adequate, and you can avoid measuring, cutting, and running back and forth to your big box store. … more

Flimsy material. No pre drilled holes

By Reptile on May 16, 2021

There are no pre drilled holes to help with assembling the box. You will need power tools to assemble. Material is cheap and flimsy. Wouldn't recommend.
