I purchased a different "Mammoth" brand dog rope prior to this which lasted her several months. It became her favorite toy. When it finally became too tattered from her heavy chewing, I bought it again (or another one just like it). Either Mammoth did not make this with the same strength of rope as I purchased a different "Mammoth" brand dog rope prior to this which lasted her several months. It became her favorite toy. When it finally became too tattered from her heavy chewing, I bought it again (or another one just like it). Either Mammoth did not make this with the same strength of rope as in the last one or my dog has become so hard a chewer that this one began to fall apart within just a week. It is still in fair shape, but nothing like the last one. I thought Mammoth toy ropes would be more consistent in their production. I'm a little disappointed; however, I would still purchase this brand again. … more

I have 2 bullys and I literally order this rope every 2-4 weeks because they destroy it. It's cheap though and they destroy the expensive ones just as quickly.

Disappointed even though it was very cheap
By Emmy on Nov 21, 2019
My pup Spanky loves ropes to play tug of war with but this rope was in three pieces in less than thirty minutes. He was really bummed when we had to throw it away for his safety.

larger than dog
By Skybud on Aug 18, 2019
This is what I ordered for a small to medium size dog. If you have a large dog, it will be great, but too big for a 16 pound dog.

This was shredded apart in a matter of minutes by 2yo GSD. Had to throw out.

Rope tug toy
By Dobeowner on Apr 11, 2019
It took my year old Doberman 2 days to pull the knots out, eat & cover the floor with bits & pieces of the string. He loved it but I would not recommend it.

A little determination, work ethic, and persistence will untangle the knots (after a week). Turning this rope into a huge mess of strings.

Not rugged

I ordered this same rope toy in the past and it lasted for a couple weeks. This time, he opened it Christmas day, and was destroyed by the next morning. Not sure if it was defective this time, but will be calling Chewy to get refund.

Are rope toys susposed to be tough??
By Noin89108 on Dec 9, 2018
I have gone through 2 ropes in probably 2 months, I wouldn't recommend for tough hyper dogs like my pit bull. The rope toy doesn't seem to be well made, she gets the knots apart in no time and then the rope just falls apart. I don't allow her to just chew on it, we have tough tug sessions and it isn't able to hold up. Pretty disappointing.

Destroyed first day

I know Pits are known for their powerful jaws but I was truly hoping this thick rope would last more than an afternoon of play.

Weak chew toy
By Joey on Feb 18, 2019
He had it torn in two in 15 minutes. I had hoped for something substantial.
