  • Durable but SMELLY.

    By on

My dog seems to love this toy, even though we got one a little bit too big for him. He carries it and throws it around like it's nothing. So far (about a week and a half) it has held up to his teeth, which typically destroy anything they touch within 10 minutes. My only complaint is how STRONG the rubber odor is from this toy. It can be on the other side of the room and you can still smell it. The scent has lessened some since we first got it but it's still incredibly strong. If you're sensitive to smells, or worried about your dog inhaling it, I would suggest avoiding this toy.

  • This Size is a Mouthful!

    By on

We don't have dogs ourselves, but we have neighbors who do, so we bought these for them. The quality of the product is excellent. You might want to list the thickness of the item on your website, not just the diameter. We bought the Mammoth so we could grip the tire and play tug-of-war with the dogs, but that size is almost too big for the dogs' mouths and I have a hard time gripping them. The dogs still love them; so if they are happy, I'm happy!

  • He loves it!

    By on

My dog is a very strong chewer and needed a durable toy. This one did the trick. He did pull a little piece of nylon cord from the inside of the tire after about 30 minutes of active chewing, but the tire is still in tact and I expect it will be for a while to come. The strong rubber smell is not the greatest, but that's really the only trade off. Good price, durable toy, highly recommended.

  • Not Worth It

    By on

My dog is a power chewer, and by that I mean he chews through a lot of toys we give him. I wasn't expecting this toy to last too long maybe a week, but he has a good couple of half dollar sized holes in it and he hasn't even had it for a full 30 minutes. As a toy marketed toward power chewers it's just not worth it for the amount of time he'll get out of it.

  • nice tire, but with weak points

    By on

My dog found the weakness. This tire showed up and I was really excited cuz it was really heavy duty. But my dog, a three year old lab, who chews on certain toys loved this from the start. After about an hour or two I noticed he chewed a hole through it and the rubber was coming off. He found the weak spot, right in the tread. So if this tire was as thick through the tread as it is in the sides it would be an awesome chew toy. But I'll still say it's ok cuz it is well made. It just needs more meat in the middle.

  • Christmas Toys for Shelter Dogs & Cats!!!!

    By on

This tire, along w/one other were just a small a part of a $200 toy purchase order from Chewy.com I made with the express purpose of donating to cats and dogs at a local Animal Shelter. I could only do this because of Chewy's great prices. My ultimate hope is to bring some happy play to those poor, confused, and sad animals. Thanks Chewy.com Merry Christmas to all.

  • Great toy, but not for heavy chewers

    By on

I was looking for a toy for my chocolate lab's 1st birthday. I logged on to Chewy.com and chatted with a representative to see what they recommended. This is a great toy and it seems very durable. But my dog must have teeth made of steel. She had a big chunk out of it the very first day and has chewed up even more of it since.

  • Didn’t last but five minutes.

    By on

When I first saw this I thought it would be perfect for my PIT PUP, she bit a piece off within five minutes and the rest was gone within a total of 10 ...do not suggest this for aggressive chewers, disappointing, thought it would last longer from the looks of it and the reviews.

  • It's fun but not durable

    By on

As soon as mom rolled this past me I knew I needed to kill it! I'm a 3 year old pitbull lab mix, 60lbs, and it only took me 5 minutes to have a hole chewed through this tire. I love how big it is! Mom's just a little worried that it wasn't durable enough for me. This might be a better gift for a big-breed puppy that needs something to help with the teething. Definitely not for a dog that likes to destroy things.

  • 7 month old pup ate it

    By on

For about 30 mins the TireBiter toy occupied my pup's attention, without her destroying it. But then everything went downhill--she started swallowing the pieces she chewed off-- Pieces I don't want inside her. If your dog/pup isn't a strong chewer then yes I recommend, otherwise, I cannot.
