fabulous invention!
By JSdogs on Mar 24, 2021
These mats are the best. My dogs smelled them and didn’t even bother jumping on the couch. They didn’t even try it. They know what it is, I guess! Success!

Had high hopes
By Kira on Feb 2, 2021
Welp...was hoping this would work to keep the kittens off the book case and out of the plant. See picture LOL! Seems well made and I’m sure it may work for some. Our kittens however just gently walked on them and put their faces in the plant anyway :):):):):):):)

Not worth it
By Rori on Mar 2, 2021
Unfortunately my dogs just pull them off and jump on the furniture. Maybe if there was a way to attach it to the furniture without ruining the fabric it may work, but my puppies are too smart!

They definitely work.
By Tanya on Dec 7, 2020
I have 2 dogs and a cat and none of them want to be on my new couches with the mats. They ruined the fabric of my old couches because their hair got embedded in the fabric and I couldn't even vacuum it out; all the cushions deformed because the dogs would want to look out the window. The mats work and my new couches are saved! Easy to store when not in use. The mats aren't painful, I've sat on them to test them and they're just uncomfortable so you're pets are safe.

Didn't work at all
By CatMama on Oct 7, 2020
I ordered 2 of these to deter one of our cats from jumping over a room divider we have in front of our entrance hallway. She's sneaky when she does it so I thought she must've been going in the small space between them to still get over so I ordered one more. Then I saw her jump right onto one of them and go over the divider; a couple of days later our other cat was just sitting right on one of them waiting for my husband when she heard him come home. Chewy is sending me a return label so I have to pack them up and ship them back to them. Totally useless product & now a waste of time and energy to deal with packing up the products & taking them to a Fed Ex drop off in the middle of a pandemic I ordered 2 of these to deter one of our cats from jumping over a room divider we have in front of our entrance hallway. These are working well for me
By ChineseCrestedMom on Sep 14, 2020 top500Contributor
I bought two of these along with two scat mats to try and teach my kitten to stay off certain pieces of furniture. These work very well for surfaces she jumps to but not as well for areas she walks onto like stepping from the arm of a chair to a side table. She quickly figured out how she could walk more slowly so I will be using the scat mat in those places because it is more motivational. I like how they fold in half (but do wish they folded in thirds or quarters also) and I plan to keep moving them around as needed until she knows where she should and shouldn't go. They don't work as well as the scat mat but the lower price per mat made it worth it to buy them.

Great For Training Kitties
By BMJE on Jul 13, 2020
This item is expensive. However, the Mammoth X-Mat Foldable Pet Training Mats really help discourage kitties and cats to avoid areas they should not be getting on or places they should not be venturing into. It helps train them to use the litter box not around the litter box.

It’s working
By Dorby on May 11, 2020
It is doing the trick, just need to be sure they slightly overlap on a sofa because if you only put one on each cushion they will nose them over to make a safe spot haha. I also set back so they can jump up on the edge rather than jump up onto the spikes, they then figure it out from there that this is not where they want to lay down. They are not happy about this but their new beds are coming, all is good. The test will be to see if they do associate them with the couch once they are removed, so we plan to use them for at least 6-8 weeks before removing.

Afterthought
By JOSt on Apr 26, 2020
Neighbor cats take turns spraying on my patio furniture. My patio is used as their thoroughfare. “Charlie” walked across one mat and only gave it an afterthought like, “that was different...hmm” and was on his merry way! Caught on camera. Included some screenshots.

Mats work great!
By Dogmom on Feb 23, 2020
My bulldogs think they are lapdogs and won’t stay off the Furniture (my fault of course). When I want them to stay off The sofa these lightweight prickle mats do the trick. The dogs hate them and won’t go near them. I even put them on my lap when I’m dressed up to go out to keep the fur off until I get out the door. I ordered three per sofa and one per club chair
