Works great..until it stops working
I had originally ordered this filter about a year and a half ago.It worked great until one day I woke up and it was not running anymore.I cleaned it up replaced the filter and still nothing. Chewy was kind enough to send me a replacement even if I had purchased the item 6 months ago.The replacement was working fine right up until 2 weeks ago.It started to make a horrible grinding noise I managed to finagle the intake tube which helped the noise a bit but it still was very loud.Today I officially retired the annoying hunk of garbage.Do yourself a favor and order a different type of filter
Very upset over product
I haven't even had this pump for a month and I woke up this morning to it yet again stopped working. And i couldn't get it started again. This is the 2md pump like this ive bought and not even a month later it's broken

I have been using Marine land, penguin filters for more than 10 years I have never once had a problem with them, except you have to clean them occasionally

Nope not worth it
These work great for about 10-20 days and then they drastically slow down until eventually they just stop working. Even after changing the filter, cleaning every part of the pump it's still barely working. Buy something else.
Rattle buzzing noise will drive you crazy
Tried everything to stop the rattling noise but no luck. Seems much cheaper construction than much older model I already have. Noise will drive you nuts.
Didn't last a month.
I followed all the instructions and cleaned it multiple times but it stopped working 3 weeks after I bought it. I bought the 50gal filter for my 40gal aquarium. I do not recommend buying this.
Learn your product Great product will last yrs
This is a great product have been using for 2yrs not a problem other than my own ignorance.many folks here having problems ive experienced not knowing how to work a good filtration system. If the filters are clogged or water level low the bio wont spin you still have to clean your tank after water change make sure suction pipe is not jammed in or pushed out easy does it..fill the pump with water it gets it going. This product doesn't just quit working. And its only loud when the tank isnt filled to proper level.
Top notch very happy
I have a 55 gallon aquarium. With two yellow bellied sliders. This filter keeps the water clean. Is quite and has a nice water fall effect. Peaceful. I have to clean the filters once a week since turtles are very messy.
