I have a 75 gallon salt tank which pump is best. Am thinking of buying the 900 is that ok?

When choosing a pump, it depends on the fish you keep and whether you are using it for circulation or surface agitation. We generally recommend that on average, you turn over your aquarium volume four times per hour. This means that if you have a 75 gallon tank, you need a pump and filter with flow rates of around 300 gph.
I'm wondering rather to go with a strong air pump or the 1200 for my under gravel filter.... your thoughts?

is it compatible with a Penn pass 50 gallon under gravel filter?

This circulation pump could be used along with the Penn-Plax Premium Underground Aquarium Filter.
On the Marineland penguin submersible power head size 900 is good for what size tank

It's generally recommended to turn over your aquarium volume four times. For the circulation pump mode, the 900 would be for a tank of up to about 225 gallons.

Powerful pump

I got two of these for my two 55 gallon tanks. I use them in the powerhead mode for water circulation and aeriation. They do a great job, are very quiet, and move a lot of water. If your thinking about getting these for the wavemaker mode, forget it. They are annoyingly noisy.

Does Not Fit Undergravel Filter Tube

Previous Marineland 300gph pump fits up-tube perfectly. This unit is very loose and cannot be used.

Great Water Circulation but Little Oxygen

As mentioned in title. Powerfully circulates water and moves debris around which settles and collects over time, allowing for easy maintenance. I used this for over a year and was satisfied for what it could provide. However, it requires routine cleaning as food and debris are often caught in the vents, creating sludge and other bio-hazards.
