I have tried soo many types of brushes even the "brush" gloves, and my dog Oni, would freak out and hide. He not only tolerates this brush, he enjoys being brushed with it!
Ergonomic and stiff bristles make this a must have for short coats. Several rubber prongs are distributed throughout which helps promote a glossy coat as natural oil glands are stimulated. My boys looks shiny and healthy after a few minutes of enjoyable brushing!
I needed something for my short haired pup that wasn’t a pin brush or too hard on her. This is great! She loved it and I also tried it on my long haired sheltie. He absolutely melted into it. Very gentle, does grab loose hair, and I’m really impressed. Great curry brush. Not for dematting or heavy grooming but for gentle massage brushing.
The bristles on the brush are too stiff and my baby dont like it
I have a foxhound/beagle mix, whose hair is rather fine and thin on her legs and belly, with longer hair elsewhere. It works great on both types of hair. Was hesitant to spend my money on yet another brush, but this one pleases both of us. Gave away all the other ones..
For, my labradoodle, no. Her coat is just too dense. But my hound and cat LOVE this brush! It's like giving them a body massage and polish! The cat just melts into a puddle for a firm brushing, the hound pushes into the brush. I love the strap on the handle. Easier for me to use. Does pick up the loose hairs but I think the massage is the real asset. Both my dogs are rescues and the best ever!
Angel Loooves being brushed with this brush, rolls over to get belly
If you're looking for a soft brush (like I was), this brush isn't it.
I love this brush for my yellow labrador. I use the Furminator comb to deshed her and then this brush to give her coat a nice shine. Also, very nice to use after she has rolled in the dirt outside.
When the Martha Stewart brand first came out I bought some seeds with her name on them and they were wonderful - best seeds I had ever bought. Very fresh and most germinated. It made an impression. I expected the same good quality with this brush. I used it once and one side of the strap came loose (unglued). I can still use the brush but I don't think it has the quality that the brand had in its beginning.
