We are using this bowl in our greyhound's crate. I think we got the 4 cup size and it's a nice size for her -- not huge, but big enough for her to not have to contort her body to get a drink of water. If it gets bumped, there's potential for it to come off of the wires of the crate, so I would just use zip ties if there's concern about that! Super easy.
Don't buy more than one of these

If you stack them they are impossible to get apart. The wire hanger does not fit well on any of the 16 metal cages I own, including one purchased from Chewy.
They do hold water and are lightweight.
Great for crates!

2 of my cats prefer sleeping in small dog crates at night - ( I shower daily... should I be offended?) so I purchased 2 of these - one for each crate. They stay in place so my cats have fresh water each night while in their little cat crates for the night.
StainLess steel so no rust issues, they stay in place without spilling. Great product, cat approved! Thanks, Chewy!

Thought I found the perfect feeding bowl for my girl. Says it holds 4 cups but you can barely get 1 cup in it.

This is described as a 3-cup bowl. It is only 2 cups. I kept it because I needed it for the crate. I like the design for ease of attaching, but a puppy can easily tip it.
For the kitten i have to keep in the 3 tier cage

I have a kitten that wondered up , (it came to me at 3 months old ) had it checked over since i have alot of inside cat's.. she tested positive for feline leukemia , so i keep her pinned up ...
Wobbly bowls slop water in the crate, soaking the padding.

The hooks are easily displaced when bumped by my dog. Water also spills into the crate when she drinks from the bowl. I tried the medium and large sizes and neither worked well.
Grea idea, super small

Great idea, was going to use this for water. It its easily flipped. Also thought it would fit 3 cups, and it only does it you fill it up to the brim, which you dont want to do woth water in the crate in an easy fill bowl

My dog keeps knocking the bowel & the holder off the crate.I tryed to get the plyiers so I can bend the prongs to the wire crate to hold better. But I havepain in my hands & fingers so I can't do it.
Falls off when the pets bump it

I had to use pliers to bend the hook part so it will stay hooked on the bars. My little "calm" dogs kept knocking it off and water wrecking their bedding. They would just be turning around and back into it, not rambunctious activity. I do recommend if you don't mind that step of making the hooks hold on. You can use standard stainless bowls you already have in that size too. I can't give more stars because what were they thinking making the hooks slanted where it would not stay on...lazy design so my score reflects that.
