I had purchased these stairs hoping that they would fit in the doorway for the backseat of my car, but they sadly do not since the door for the backseats of most cars do not open all the way. To be fair, the description of these stairs indicate that they are for car trunks, so I took a chance purchasing them for the backseat. The stairs appear to be well made, so I have kept them and will use them for the trunk instead.
For a bout a year now, my 13 yo lab has been unable to jump into the back of my jeep and is unnerved by my attempts to lift her. I've tried a ramp with no luck, and was a little skeptical when ordering these because of her reluctance. Her first attempt was slow and tentative, but for the treat in my hand, she made it. The second (no more treat) was much easier with only a little hesitation, but all since have been quick and easy. The product itself seems very well made and is easy to deploy and stow away after use. My pup and I are extremely pleased!
These steps are super easy to use and work great for our large breed dog. He took to it very quickly. In my hatchback, they worked flawlessly. In our truck however, we were unable to use on the rear quad cab doors due to the seat design. We did use them on the front doors just fine. They are very sturdy and the safety strap works great. Just be sure to measure if you plan on using them with smaller doors.
These steps are great! I got them for my senior German Shepherd who can no longer jump high enough to get into the SUV. He is approx. 75 lbs. and they hold him, no problem. They fold/unfold very easily and are high enough for my SUV and the back crew cab of my F150.
