This heavy-duty martingale collar features high-quality reflective webbing with the added security of a chain, so you can keep your pal safe on all of your outdoor adventures—whether you’re hiking the trails or just walking around the block. Lockable nylon clasps keep your pet safe and sound by preventing unwanted unlatching, while an easy to use buckle makes it a snap to fasten or unfasten the collar. With so many collars to choose one, Max and Neo’s Martingale option is a great way to new dogs or aggressive walkers.
For each leash purchased, Max & Neo will donate an identical collar to a rescue dog in need.
These long-lasting and high-quality collars are 1-inch wide and made of thick, heavy duty nylon webbing.
Included D-ring is 5 millimeters thick and made of sturdy metal and perfect for attaching leashes and leads.
Features a separate nonmetal tab for attaching your pet’s dog tags and charms without the noisy jingling.
Martingale design is perfect for obedience and behavioral training in puppies, new dogs and aggressive walkers.
To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck for comfort.
I have a young pit bull fresh rescue, and when I first got him he didn't know how to walk on a leash. After the initial learning curve, he caught on pretty quick, but would still pull and jump forward whenever he wanted to greet someone (his problem is he's too friendly lol) so we used a training choke chain to get the point across that that is NOT what I wanted. Mission accomplished. Sort of. So we moved onto this collar as a bit of a go-between the training chain (which he no longer needs) and a regular flat collar. He walks & heels pretty well now, however when he gets excited or just forgets, the simple sound of the chain makes him remember, stop, and look up at me for direction. Beware runs small

I measured my dogs current standard collar at 17 inches. So, I ordered the "medium-large 16-19 inches". When it arrived, it was set to the largest possible size and it just barely fits, It will work till my girl grows some more. I will keep it because it does fit, for now, and the quality is great. She's 19 months and is still filling out.
Good Collars but..

Ordered two for my two dogs. Ordered two medium sized collars and although I do enjoy them and they work well, and are holding up well, they are different sizes. Like I said, I ordered two medium collars but one is noticeably shorter (yes they’re adjusted the same) than the other and is slightly too small for one of my dogs (same neck measurements). Otherwise, good all around collar.

It was easy fitting this collar to my dog's neck. I attach it to his harness when I take him for walks for extra security. His ID tag fits well on the collar. Just wish there was another ring for tags such as Rabies and Registration with city.

The nylon part is thick compared to other collars. Seems like good quality overall and will last a while. So far it has been able to hold my dog if she lunges and the extra locking mechanism on the buckle gives me peace of mind.

I have bought at least 4 of these collars and I love them the fabric tends to fray over time which is normal but the last collar I bought is starting to break where the little logo is. I will never buy another kind of collar and this brand is great too!

This collar is made well and will last. Needed something strong but comfortable for our part Malinois Eddie.

I am so grateful for this collar! My dog knows how to slip out of his collar, but this tightens so he is unable to slip out. I just wish it came in more colors! :)

We had a pulling dog and tried MANY different no-pull collars, harnesses, leashes, even running her before a walk, but nothing works as well as the martingale collar! (2nd best was a Gentle Leader) She's a rescue so maybe she was trained on a similar collar before I found her because its shocking how well she responds to it with gentle redirection-just a guess. Absolute game changer!
As for redirecting beyond loose leash walking, we're improving day by day. I'm optimistic and really impressed. Wish there were more colors/designs to choose though.

I ordered an xlarge since my dog grew out of her previous collar. Was sent another medium. Collar is good but the shipment is ridiculous. I just needed a Collar.
