Surprised How Well This Works
I live in a small, two bedroom condo, and the litter box is in the a corner area where the kitchen, living room and family room sort of combine together. I use the top-of-the-line PetSafe self cleaning litter box with their crystal litter, however, there’s no getting away from the smell when you have 2 cats in a small 1 story condo. I decided to spend the money and try out this little gadget. I placed it inside the hood of the litter box. It’s been almost 2 weeks, and I am amazed at how well it works! My male cat, for whatever reason, does not cover his poop when he goes!! He just let it sit on top of the litter, so of course, it smells awful. This morning I just walked over to the litter box and I had no idea he had gone to the bathroom. I only know because I actually looked. It did not smell - which is shocking to me. Usually I start to notice the litter box in general smelling about five days after I switch out the Petsafe litter. It’s been over a week, and I’m not bothered. This product works!

Alright, I’m back after about four months of use and pleased to report this device is still functioning. It’s no miracle worker but if I had to chose between investing or not having this filter, I would buy it again. Very helpful because the cat box is right by the door plus our apartment is roughly the size of a shoebox.
Doesn't work
I don't notice a difference at all. Seems to light up and knows when the cats have been in/out, but it doesn't help with odor.
Very Surprised
I saw another person's review on here stating that this thing worked. I'm always looking for the next best thing to control litter box odor better. I was fairly skeptical but it's been a couple of weeks and I'm pretty amazed by how much it lessened the litter box odor. I wouldn't say it's completely vanished but I definitely don't notice it as much anymore. When I received it, it was already "on" so I was a little confused about why or if I needed to do something. It was all ready to go and so far it's been amazing!
Not as expected
I put inside a cabinet that has cat-pee smell after washing it twice with bleach. I opened and closed the cabinet’s doors periodically to mimic a cat’s visit to the litter box. Nothing changed. The cabinet was as smelly as the first day.
Misleading. The magnet isn’t strong enough to hold it on the wall holder.
As said in the headline, the magnet is not strong enough to hold this to the metal holder. I ripped off paint trying to take the post off. I hope it actually helps the smell.
So far so good
Had this a few weeks, it does seem to actually work. Unwilling to fully endorse it until it stands up to a few months of use. Like any air filter it sometimes emits a high pitched sound, but if you don’t hear electrical outlets it shouldn’t bother most people. Because of my unfortunate super power I can confirm it does something after detecting movement.Cat box smell is noticeably less prominent in our sardine can apartment, so between that and hearing it switch modes I think this does actually work. Photo attached so you can see where to place it. Wouldn’t suggest putting it inside the box since I imagine the sound would be off putting to a cat. A foot or so away works fine. Will report back in a few months.
This works!
Bought three of these and they really work! Several years ago a feral colony moved into the courtyard, then into the house, then onto the couches to join the two pet cats. Until recently they tended to go outside to take care of business but as they've gotten older they prefer the comforts of home and the cat box smells have gotten harder to control, particularly at night. These things are great, stuck them on the wall above the box and it almost completely cut the smells! Also adding that they're easy to put up--sticky stuff on the back, so no tools. This is a winner, Chewy :)
