How much would you feed a 6lb dog?
Answer by • Sep 13, 2020
A 6 pound dog may be fed approximately 1/2-3/4 cup when using as a complete diet and 1/8 cup when used as a booster. The feeding chart may be located by clicking the “Feeding Instructions” tab, on the product page. This feeding chart is a general recommendation and can be adjusted for your specific pet when also taking into account their age, activity level, etc. If you are uncertain of the amount, you can always consult with your veterinarian.
How many days does a 14 oz bag hold?
Answer by • Apr 07, 2020
An unopened bag of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the bag. Ideally, dry food and treats should be consumed within 6-8 weeks of opening the bag. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep dry foods in their original packaging and store in a cool, dry location.
I like this food for so many reasons, but texture wise, it is better than other brands of freeze dried food. It is soft but has form, and can be broken into smaller pieces without crumbling (food is shaped and feels like a dense cheese puff). I have an old diabetic pug with sensitive GI tract who is very picky. Expensive to find something she will consistently eat and meet her medical needs. This food has been a lifesaver for her and for my sanity. I break up pieces by hand and then put it at the bottom of her food, then top with wet food so it soaks in the gravy. She eats without much coaxing and best of all, it’s been successful for nearly a year now! It smells a little fishy because of the fish oil in it, but she goes for it and I’m happy because I know she is getting lots of Omegas which she needs.

Picky eater alert
My dog is a very picky eater. If I toss a few of these in his food it gets him started and he'll eat his food completely. He also likes to play catch with these.
