Like most cats, my two were eating dry kibble (in addition to wet food), but after watching several cat nutrition videos, I wanted to find a “raw” option to replace the dry food. I bought this when it was on sale, and just like the bag said, I integrated with their current food over time until the dry food was phased out. Initially, I gave them individual pieces from the bag to try (which they liked) and then began mixing it with their meals. At the beginning, they would eat the dry first and then this. But over time, they started leaving the dry. This is when I knew I could fully transition them. They now eat this alone for two of their three meals. Since they get 2.5-3 ounces of wet a day too, I don’t give them the full recommended amount of this food that’s on the bag. They each get 2/3 cup of this food a day, and this seems to be optimal for their metabolisms and activity. For reference, one of my cats is 11.5 lbs, and the other is 8.5 lbs. I have yet to try the other flavors, and honestly, this one is such a hit that I will probably stick with it and leave the variety to the wet food.
He LOVES the meat/beef flavor. It's all protein and no bad stuff, great diet for carnivores! Unfortunately, he ate this twice and won't eat it anymore. I gave 2 stars because I think it's worth trying.
All 3 of my cats love it and unfortunately they will fight over it. They love it dehydrated or rehydrated. Highly recommend
I have been purchasing food and other stuff for my cat from Chewy for the past a few years. Chewy is very good in terms of service, quality! Thank you! Min
Just because Will didn’t like it doesn’t mean the product isn’t good. He’s a fussy eater.
Our cat LOVES the new dehydrated food incorporated into a small amount of dry kibble. Great find!!
Freezed dried chicken is my favorites cat dish. However he didn't like these and don't know why! I would of given this product a better rating if my cat liked them
This raw food is in smaller pellets and so it’s crunchier than Stella and Chewy’s, which I usually feed. The cats like the crunch. It’s more expensive too but is non-GMO .
Got this for my both my cats. Was really hoping they would love this food because Nala eats stella chewy freeze dried rabbit and Ezra eats vital essentials freeze dried rabbit. But both my cats wouldn't eat it. Its packaged really nice and great ingredients but my cats didn't care for it. Maybe if they come out with rabbit one day I would love to try again.
Two cats, One is 10 years old, the other is 2 years old. One loves wet food (anything in a gravy), the other only eats dry food. What's the big deal? They BOTH love meat mates... The good news is they love all flavors. Supposed to be full of vitamins and actually good for them. Crossing our fingers this lasts more than a month. /grin
