I received the 5lb bag in the mail and boy was I excited! I had been searching for a good bird feed to put in my bird feeder and receiving this product led me to do research on it ! This feed is designed to attract finches of all kind but really it attracted all sorts of birds to my bird feeder. I love that this feed has no corn and filler which can be harmful to birds. This feed contains nutrients like Sunflower chips and Nyjer seed which are high in vitamins and great for bird health. Definitely a great buy if you want to support bird health !
I received this product as part of a free sampling program and was excited to welcome finches to my yard. I filled my bird feeder and noticed that I could provide the birds with a large amount of seed, due to the small size per piece. However, the birds aren't eating it at all. I poured loose seed on the ground and my pillar tops and although I still don't see any finches, other birds seem to love it. I've had quail, doves and roadrunners come to feast in my yard. The smaller size/ variety and flavors seem to satisfy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for small seeds that encourage a myriad of birds.
I received this product for free as part of a sample program. The seeds in this bag are really well put together. They are small enough that there isn't a lot of dead space in my bird feeder, which makes refilling less frequent. That being said, I haven't seen any finches yet. This definitely has attracted Cardinals and the occasional Robin. I'm not sure I would purchase this product solely to try to attract Finches. I've had this product out in my bird feeder for about 3 weeks now and it's the same result. Overall, it's worth the price that you pay as long as you're not completely picky about what type of bird you're trying to attract.
We have a ton of birds that visit our backyard and we happily have multiple bird feeders for all types of food. I was pleased to be able to try this food as part of a promotional campaign. It is a high quality food without the fillers typically seen in less expensive bird seed. I don't know that it has increased our finches, though it is not the typical time of year we see them, but all of the birds seem to be enjoying it. We often see house and yellow finches in the spring so I will certainly purchase this food to try next year and see what happens with our finch population.
I will be the first to admit, I thought all birdseed was the same but when I got the opportunity to try this birdseed as a free sample and I was proven wrong. I normally put out a generic bird seed and see all kinds of birds and squirrels. When I started to put out the Melody Select Ultimate Finch I actually started to see several kinds of brightly colored finches, another plus the squirrels seemed to not be interested in it. My feeder was so popular I had to refill it several times over the week. The Ultimate Finch was also less dusty and had less broken shells than my normal mix. I would highly recommend trying this mix if you want to attract finches and other small backyard birds.
I received this bird seed for free as part of a promotion in exchange for a review and I am so glad that I did! I have a few bird feeders outside and love to watch the birds come and go. This seed has attracted many birds to the feeders and it appears to be popular to a variety of birds. I tried to take a picture but scared the birds away when I was taking it!:-) But I promise - they do love the seed and will come around again and again to get more. Highly recommend!
I was very excited when I received a free trial of this bird seed to see everything it attracted. We did have a few birds come, but not what I was expecting. We didn't see any finches, but it isn't really the time of year when we see finches here. I can't wait until next spring, when we see more finches, to try this bird seed again because I think we will be able to attract a lot more birds!
I received this bird seed for free as part of a promotion and glad I was able too. I'm an avid Bird watcher, so was very excited to try the Melody Select Finch Bird Food. I filled my feeders up and it sure didn't take long for the birds to arrive. I had a wide variety of birds that seemed to love this product. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but was very pleased with the results and highly recommend this product for anyone wanting a perfect blend of seeds.
The only problem is you are going to have to buy more! Finches love this food! Our male and female finches flocked right to the food once we filled our feeder. Love watching and listening to them while I drink my morning coffee. So peaceful. Note: I received this product as part of a free sample program
After receiving my free sample I was excited to get this in my feeders and see what happened. First of all, the bag is the perfect size to fill my larger hopper feeder. I don’t have to worry about storing and possibly spilling an extra. The seed mix looks fresh and I appreciate (and the birds probably do too) that there isn’t any filler. With in a few hours I had cute little red house finches visiting.
