Gr8, but not really the weave I was looking for
I had a leash very similar to this one. It's my fault that I didn't enlarge the pix 2C the weave more closely. It's a gr8 leash, and I'll use it, but IMHO, it's a bit heavy for my Pom. Still, it works gr8 and SHE doesn't seem to mind.
Perfect leash for training indoors
This is a nice soft leash to use with our 6-month-old 7-pound puppy indoors. We want to teach her to walk by our side. It goes on and off quite easily. I would not use it as our outdoor leash as we use a harness for that. It will be great for classes.
Poor material
I like the slip leash for my dog. After a few days of using this leash it started fraying at the leather slide. I feel in time my dog will break away. I won't but this product again...I'll look for a better quality slip leash!
Great product
I bought one of these for my little dog and ended up buying a second to give to my daughter for hers and she loves it!
MENDOTA lead
I feel very secure with the Mendota leashes. The are well constructed and look terrific!
My dog loves this leash.
We have a little Min-pin mix that we got as a rescue from the city pound. Tried several different kinds of leash and collar combinations and some halters that he hated and fought against. The day we got this training leash I took it out of the box and showed it to Buddy (our dog) and said "Are you ready to go for a walk?" he came right to me and put his head thru the loop without hesitation like he wanted it on. Wow! That was a real surprise. He still likes to take a walk with this leash and he does not try to drag us around the neighborhood as much.
Perfect for small dogs
This is a great brand. Used it before in the larger size for my Cavaliers but this size is perfect for my smaller dogs weighing 15 pounds. Flexible and well made but also cute. Always need cute too.
Cheap and ugly
Very cheap and very flimsy. The material is an ugly shiny texture. I thought the color would be more muted, not so shiny and cheap looking. It's also very small, not a deal for my 50lb dog. I am returning this item.

Excellent quality, easy on & off for those times you don't want to put on the harness.
Testing the Mendota slip solid rope dog leash
It is taking some getting used to as I have always used retractable leashes with my 3 dogs. The rope is good and strong, but a bit slippery so it takes some effort to shorten the lead when walking when both hands are full of leashes. I'm going to try a knot in it where I can more easily grab to shorten when on a heal.
