This is the perfect lead for training and exercising our 6 month old Golden Retriever. It’s thin enough that he doesn’t trip over it when he runs but durable enough that he hasn’t chewed through it or even frayed it yet! We’ve used it in parks to let him run and get some energy out while still being comfortable that we could control him if needed. I agree with other reviews that the clasp is a little small but it really doesn’t affect its function. Maybe it would be a little weak for an large, powerful, adult dog?
Used as tether - snapped after sustained use and pulling
on May 26, 2020
I used it several times by attaching it to a sturdy post or fence to give my ~48lb dog some freedom without letting her offleash (she's a hound and she'll run forever) and it was great, but on the fourth or fifth time it snapped from her pulling. It's a good product if you have a smaller dog or use it purely for training and not as a tether.
Good tool for training.

We bought this to start training our dog for off leash hikes and so far it’s been very helpful! It’s a pretty sturdy lead, he’s gotten it wet a few times now from playing in the river and streams and the material hasn’t changed at all besides being a little dingier than before. We’re very happy with the quality, and very glad it’s bright orange so it stands out. Only downfall I’d say is there’s no handle at the end of the lead but definitely worth the buy! It’s not a tie-out style lead though, you would most definitely need something more appropriately made for that instead of this lead. It’s also lightweight enough to use on his gentle leader which we were especially happy about!
Good rope, bad attachment
on May 9, 2020
To the person who said, this isn’t meant for tying your dog to, it’s a training aid. If your dog bolts while you are training you can kiss your dog goodbye because the hook is barely attached with thread. You would be better off removing the hook and tying the rope to it with a good knot found on google. I don’t know why the company that makes this doesn’t have a better solution for the hook.
Swimming and training leash

Brilliant for swimming. Floats and is highly visible in dark water. Easy to tie a knot at the end or whatnot but also easy to get knots out. Perfect for swimming and great for training so you can always put a foot on the lead or pull them in or whatnot as required. Essential in our life. So glad we found this. We bought two!
I was so scared

So I bought this leash so I could work with training her to be social with other dogs. Thank god I had a muzzle on her when we were at the park training when she seen to beautiful golden retrievers and farted for them ... I didn’t think the leash would break but it did and she did try to attack both dogs but didn’t harm anyone because she had a muzzle on but I’m very disappointed in the leash.
Good for bigger dogs

I bought this as lead for my dog, thinking it might work for my two pound Chihuahua. Wow! How dumb am I? Not even close. Too heavy. But...I gave it to a friend who has a medium to large dog, and the dog (and the owner) loves it! I don't know what weight a dog should weigh for this to work, but I expect that Chewy knows, if you contact them. It's a good strong lead, used for training or just for a little fun for the dog.
So far I'm Impressed

To be honest, I have not put these bad boys to the test yet. I bought them for camping trips and visits to the family fishing cabin in the forest. I have an older dog with a permanently injured leg who needs to be monitored so he doesn't exacerbate the damage; I also have a rather wild GSD/Husky/Shiba/whirling dervish mix who I want to provide controlled freedom for.
However, the material is great, the workmanship is solid, and the clasp is sturdy. I look forward to having my little weirdos running around on these in the forest. :)

I bought this so my dog can chase after his ball at the park without being off leash. It’s so long he can run all the way across the park! Been using it everyday for the last couple of weeks. Has held up really well so far with no signs of fraying despite my dog trying to gnaw on it.
Great for outdoor fun!

I was a little hesitant about purchasing this lead because the reviews were a little hit and miss . I was able to have both my dogs out and they played hard outside ! The lead is very sturdy in my opinion and felt that it was well made.
I would buy again if needed
