Be Sure to Read the Label

My cat Tigger has been eating Meow Mix with Real Tuna & Shrimp in sauce from a 2.75 ounce container. It's easy to find this item in the stores because it has a blue stripe on the top label. Sometime ago Meow Mix started selling their products in 1.3 ounce single serve cups. The label for the single serve cups has the same blue stripe as the larger 2.75 container. I tried to find the larger container on the Chewy site but didn't see them listed. They did have the single serve cups so I purchased them thinking they were the same as the larger container. To my amazement the contents of the single serve cups looked different than the larger containers and Tigger refused to eat it. The larger container lists the ingredients as real tuna and whole shrimp in sauce. The individual container lists their ingredients as real tuna, shrimp, and Whitefish in sauce. These are basically two different products. I don't blame Chewy for this mix-up. Meow mix should have used a different label for their single serve cups. Before you order make sure to check the ingredients so you know what you are getting. … more

likes the cans with just tuna and shrimp This one NO

Loves the tuna and shrimp combo but would not touch these with added whitefish (which was most of it) I like the small serving so no waste in food but lots of waste in plastic separate packaging which I try to avoid. Cant recommend

Another non favorite of Chip n Dale's

    By on

Since my babies also love tuna, shrimp and whitefish, I figured they would LOVE this as a treat in-between meals but to my surprise, who they liked was the "juice" and left the rest in the plate. Another disappointment and wasted money as I have so many left over but I'm sure I'll find takers or shelters who can use extra food. I'm bummed because I really thought the boys' would go nuts for this treat!

Outside visiting cat ABSOLUTELY loves this food! She eats it everytime, coming back for more. She has adopted us and Chewy has made it possible for us to get her food delivered quickly!

New fish added to old flavor

    By on

Our 2 indoor cats have always liked the tuna and shrimp in sauce cat food. It is the only flavor that the oldest will eat. And the younger one eats too much. He eats almost all of the sauce flavored foods. The older one still eats her dry food and we give her some of the other we have put aside for her. The younger one gets one of the smaller Tuna, Shrimp, & Whitefish along with dry food. Now instead of leaving a little wet food he is cleaning his plate. I have heard that some other cat owners have problems getting SOME cats to switch to the new flavor with the Whitefish. Cats are cats.

    Cats hated it

    By on

I always buy meow mix tuna and shrimp (regular). I have one cat who will eat nothing else since having some teeth pulled. And yes I have tried!! I know things have been different since "the corona thing" with Chewy miss ships, out of products ect. So when I received this after ordering the regular I put it off to miss pull or they ran out and were substituting. But this stuff is awful NONE of my three will go near it. It is way different than the regular. Never again!!!!

    Finiky Cats Don't Like This

    By on

I mistakenly ordered this rather than the Meow Mix Tender Favorites Tuna and Shrimp that our cats love. They won't eat this Simple Servings. version. It looks more like real seafood but they are set in their ways, I guess. I won't order again.

    Finally some small pieces!

    By on

My cat gets more finicky every day... First it was pate only, then it was shreds, then it was just the gravy and not the chunks. When I found the Meow Mix trays, I thought I'd found "the one." However, not all of the flavors are the same. Some have larger chunks, so she still just eats the gravy. The blue labeled one, tuna, shrimp, and whitefish is perfect. These happen to be in single serve containers. Whatever works. She eats all of it and wants more.

    Teddy approves

    By on

I couldn't find the Tuna and Shrimp variety that I usually get for my super picky Teddy. It's the only flavor of wet food he will eat! But, he approves of this flavor now, too, so I may switch permanently. He doesn't eat a lot all at once, so this smaller size prevents waste.

    Perfect "diet" plan

    By on

My cat Riley has gotten really fat over the winter. I used to feed him a whole can of "Fancy feast" a day plus his dry food. I hate dinking around with half cans of stuff in the frig. So these are perfect as they are small servings. The only thing I don't like, is how much packaging they come with. I recycle but hate to see things "over" packaged. Hoping I can get Riley slim and trim for his health.
