    Picky kitten

By Britt on Mar 18, 2021

My kitten decided he’s not a fan and turned his nose up at it, so I’ll be giving away the remaining cans. I’m still rating it three stars because I like Merrick and their ingredients, and he absolutely loves their rabbit one since I always catch him stealing from his brother’s bowl.

    Great Flavor and Size

By Rascal on Mar 7, 2021

Merrick is a great Pet Food Company & I buy several of their products, but our kitten doesn't happen to like the Chicken Pate so that's the only reason I rated it 3 stars.

    Kitty Loves This Food

By Gracie on Aug 20, 2020

I have a new 8 week old kitten and she loves this food! She would not eat the kibble that’s she was used to eating when I brought her home, however, she devours this food and I am confident she is getting the nutrition she needs!

    Terrible changes

By Backcountry on Jan 27, 2020

I have been feeding my 10 month old kittens this and the Merrill Puurfect Bistro grain free kitten dinner pate, since I first found the brand, about 2 months after I adopted them. It was the only wet food they would both eat. Opening a can from my first shipment this year, I noticed a slight odor and my cats would not touch it. Another can smelt so strongly I would not give it to them (an ash smell is the closest I can get, though that’s not quite it). Chewy identified the facility providing it as in Florida and send me another case from Merrick’s Philadelphia facility, same issue, now noted in both types of food. Kittens are so upset, as they are hungry and not getting the food they like. I am back to switching between brands trying to find something they will eat and that won’t cause diarrhea in the one with a sensitive digestive system. Some online posts suggest Merrick changed the cans; some of the people here say the ingredients differ from previous recipe. Whatever it is, it is disastrous and has lost them a customer for life. … more

    Not fare for my kitten

By TTTT on Feb 9, 2020

My kitten will eat this only in desperation. My two adult cats don’t like it at all. I am surprised because it got good reviews. Actually, my cats Don’t like pate. They want something that they can chew with a lot of gravy.

    Kittens Not a Fan

By Willow on Dec 8, 2019

My kittens are not huge fans of wet kitten food in general apparently, as neither like any brands of wet kitten food I've bought them so far. They will eat this when mixed with the adult nutro max wet food though. Both kittens will eat the all life stages of this brand and flavor, too, so there might be something about the kitten food they do not like so much. My adult cat does like the flavor of this food as she will try to eat from the kittens bowls.

    Very much worth it

By Freyja on Nov 13, 2019

My kitten loves this stuff. Had been buying it from Petco, but they stopped selling the larger cans. So now I am going through Chewy and using the auto ship. It is very much worth the price. My Lucky boy gobbles it up.
