    IT'S OUR FAVORITE!

By Catlover on May 21, 2021

My cats are so picky and they just LOVE this food. We switched from The purrfect Bistro Rabbit Pate to the Back Country Real Rabbit Pate when you were out of stock of the purrfect Bistro. NOW my cats will not go back. The just LOVE the Back Country Real Rabbit Pate! I have 15 cans of the Back Country left and have been trying to stretch it out as long as possible waiting for your company to restock. On the days they are given the Back Country Real Rabbit Pate they look forward to their meals and eat with great gusto. On the days I feed them other food choices they virtually starve before eating the meals presented. PLEASE ENCOURAGE MERRICK TO PRODUCE THIS PRODUCT SOON!!!

Merrick Backcountry Grain Free Rabbit Pate canned Food

By Zelly on Jan 11, 2021

I ordered this because Chewy is out of the three ounce regular rabbit that comes in a lavender can. My cats LOVE that. One of them also likes the backcountry rabbit in pouches but that’s chunky which my others don’t like. I thought the Backcountry canned rabbit would be a happy medium, big mistake. They barely tolerate it and it’s very dry. They like foods that have a lot of gravy which is actually good for them. I’ve fed this three times and end up throwing most of it out.

4 out of 4 cats including the feral hate this food...

By BackcountryRabbit on Dec 29, 2020

Chewy was out of the Purrfect Bistro canned rabbit food so I tried this one instead. Our cats hate it. The feral we feed won't touch it. EVENTUALLY they will eat it if I mix in other flavors or bone broth. Or they're "starving" and it's the only thing available. But I won't be ordering this variety again.

    All three like

By CindyO on Jan 8, 2021

There are few foods all three of my cats like but, this is one. I do add water to the pate like I do most pates. I try to make sure they get enough water as I have one with idiopathic cystitis.I appreciate the rabbit food as there are so few of those.

    Total Fail

By Marie on Dec 21, 2020

My cats love rabbit but they would not touch this or the Merrick duck and chicken. All 3 cases are going to the local shelter.

    Picky eater scarfs this down

By Cydnee on Aug 11, 2020

I have tried all sorts of proteins and textures, and my picky eater refuses to touch most of them. So far, this has been one of his favorite foods! The texture is a thick pate, so sometimes I add water to soften it up.

    Not their favorite

By Matilda on Jun 7, 2020

I bought this trying to diversify the type of wet food I give my cats. I thought they’d go crazy for this! Unfortunately, they aren’t thrilled. Three of my four cats will nibble on it when they get hungry enough. One of mine won’t even bother trying it, and will just wait until the next feeding time to eat. I probably won’t by again, but they don’t completely avoid it.

    SO Dry!!!!!

    By TXHunny84 on Jul 30, 2020

This wet food is very dry. I added water to it so it would be more moist. My cats slurped up the water but didn’t want the rest. Ended up throwing it away.

    Snubbed by 3 cats

By BadLuckBetty on Mar 8, 2020

Bought this and the duck based pate and my 3 cats won’t even touch it. All 3 rather eat my elderly cats flavorless k/d catfood than this. I’m bummed about that. I was trying to introduce a less expensive but still good quality food than what they’ve been eating since my old guy is now on a prescription low fat lower protein but very expensive diet. Not having any part of the transition. I need a 2nd job to feed them, Chewy are you hiring?
