Donated it to Pets Meals on Wheels

By Donate on Feb 20, 2021

I donated all of my order to Pets Meals on Wheels since mine did not care for most of these NEW foods I was trying. They ARE GOOD food so I donated 2 entire orders instead of a refund since Cheap Chewy wanted all the food back instead of donating it.. I DONATED Animals that have none got it.

    cats will not eat it

By reboot on Dec 18, 2020

I have 7 cats, only one of them will lick at it, the other turn away. It was on sale at my local Petsmart for .77 a can. I can see why now, cats will not eat it. I bought salmon, chicken and duck, they turn them all down.

    Not impressed

By Tooas on Nov 12, 2020

This pate needs to be firmer to spoon out of the can. It's much messier and has a strong smell compared to the chicken and turkey flavors. The real test are the cats and they will eat it but not with the same enthusiasm as the other canned food for Merrick.

    Paris’s new fav

    By Frenchiemom on Jun 12, 2020 top1000Contributor

My cat is picky, she likes Merrick salmon pate but she was starting to get a little tired of it. So I ordered this and she can’t get enough. She loves it! The consistency is a little softer then Merrick. I’m so happy she loves this food. Its hard finding good healthy stuff my cat will eat.

My cats LOVE merrick but not this one

    By jilma on Jan 2, 2020 top250Contributor

My cats are OBSESSED with the turkey merrick (not the backcountry version, but the regular). I am always trying to find a variety of foods, as like us, they do get bored. It is not easy finding one without chicken for Dean's allergy. This one checked all the boxes until I got it home. Day one two of them loved it but vomited after. Day 2 they were just "ok" with it. Now, they don't eat it at all. The Turkey Merrick has consistently been a favorite, so I think this one is going to have to be donated.

    Nice change and quality

By CsThree on Feb 8, 2020

the 4 stars are the cats rating. While it is not their favorite, they like it. They like the pate. Another Merrick high quality food and it remains on the "menu". The product over the years has been consistent.

Really disappointed in all these Merrick choices

By Jilly on Nov 25, 2019

I've always heard Merrick highly recommended. Apparently, none of my 7 cats have read or care about the reviews. They don't care how healthy the ingredients might be. They just don't like it. This salmon flavor is very dry. They like their gravy, but I don't think just adding water is going to help this much. This was another really disappointing choice. I'm going to start going back to their old favs. Wish I could find better foods that they actually will eat.

    Back Country Salmon

    By 3catmom on Apr 1, 2019

Our 3 cats like this food, but don't love it. It was a hit at first, but now it's only ok to them and it's hard to get them to eat every last bite or lick the bowl clean.
