FAQ
Does Merrick have coupons available?
From time to time, we do offer special promotions on our food and treats. The best way to ensure you know about these offers is to sign up for our newsletter. Please visit e-mail sign up to ensure you don’t miss out.
Are any Merrick products currently being recalled?
No. None of Merrick Pet Care's recipes are being recalled.
What is the difference between Merrick grain-based and grain-free foods?
Some pets develop food intolerances or food allergies and grains can be difficult for a pet's stomach and intestines to break down. If your pet has a sensitive stomach, our Grain Free recipes can help their digestive system problems. At Merrick, our Grain Free recipes feature higher levels of proteins, omegas, glucosamine and chondroitin.
Do Merrick’s Grain Free recipes contain fillers and chemicals?
We are committed to using only the purest ingredients in our recipes. Our recipes contain no ingredients from China; no poultry by-products; no artificial additives or preservatives; no artificial flavors or colors; no corn, wheat or soy; and no glutens. We've excluded these ingredients because we believe pet food should be fuel, not filler.

I have two indoor outdoor cats in the country. They are voracious hunters and consume their prey, mostly rats and mice.
I had a hard time finding a food for them that mimicked alive meal. They don't like pate, kibble wasn't good for them, chicken and fish didn't work either.
The chunks of meat and the generous gravy in this package is perfect for them. They are highly active and very healthy and very happy.
You are what you eat. This meal has everything they want. Their fur is shiny and thick and beautiful. I had to take one in to the vet recently for an abscess and the vet remarked how healthy and strong she is.
It is visible. Great product. Thank you!

Cats love this
I am used to buying my cats beef, chicken or seafood. But I decided some months ago to buy them rabbit. They really love it. I believe in buying them a variety of foods. And Merricks rabbit morsels is definitely a favorite for all of them.

Not a Great Product
Although my cats sort of liked the rabbit cuts, they didn't care for the beef so much. Who can figure their preferences out.

made my cat sick
I have a young bengal kitten and we switched from castor & pullox to this thinking it would be a smarter budget choice and little did I know they were sending me expired or not sealed packages bc they’re were larva or some sort of bug in each package. Very disappointed. Would sue if I was that type of Person. DO NOT BUY!!

It seems pretty good
The food seems ok for our cat, but I'm not crazy about the packaging. its more cumbersome to open and store than the cans. I like the Merrick brand though, and I wish you could still get the Avoderm salmon. Thanks, Chewy is a great company and has always done a good job

Seems To Be a Hit!
Both of my boys love this. Especially the gravy! You were out of the regular beef I usually buy so tried this and the bowls are licked clean.

Cats won’t eat!
Neither one of my cats will eat. They enjoy Merrick’s dry food and their canned pate style wet food so I purchased three different flavors of these pouches to try and so far the beef is a no go for sure. Put down the chicken and trout pouch this morning but so far they have eaten that one either. Not sure if it’s the flavors, ingredients or the just the “chunky” style they don’t like.

Large Chunks
None of my 4 cats liked this food. :( It is in large chunks and they had trouble chewing the chunks.

Cat pukes instantly
I think Chewy’s has a bad batch. My Cat throws up instantly after eating this product. I have purchased this exact product elsewhere with no problems. I also have purchased the variety pack from Chewy’s with no problem.
